She’s ruined his coat😢

I have just come across this video and I'm shocked to see this beautiful golden being clipped, almost shaved even. This type of clipping has been referred to as a teddy cut. I've had goldens for 20 years and have never seen this happen, and least of all by a professional groomer. Their coat protects them, keeps the cool in when it's hot, and keeps the warmth in when its cold. Their coat regulates their body temperature. I was sad seeing this video...

You should NEVER do this to a golden, not only does it look horrendous but they have a double coat for a reason....one being it KEEPS THEM COOL IN THE SUMMER.....until you do this 😮!!!😢

You should not clip any double coated breed such as a Golden Retriever. It affects their thermoregulation, can cause alopecia and other problems with their coat.

I am sure this has already been posted but NEVER SHAVE A RETRIEVER or any other dog with an undercoat. That double layer is it's temperature regulation and it's protection against sunburn. Videos like this should be flagged as cruelty.

My 12 yo Golden hates the heat, even more so now that he's gotten older. I give him this exact hair cut, but with scissors because my little clippers can't even go through a bit of his thick hair. It takes several days as he gets bored and can't stand for long periods of time due to arthritis. I wish the final product looked even ⅓ as good. Poor thing is gonna sue me one of these days. At least he is not hot, 😂😂😂. Beautiful cut!

This is terrible. You should never (!) use clippers on a double coated breed! This will mess with this beautiful Golden Retriever's ability to regulate body temperature. 😢

Sorry to say as a owner of a golden you would never clip mine, you took off all the hair that makes a golden a golden his back skirt and all. And for a professional you should know that you never clip a double coated breeds

I have a Goldie in Delhi, India. It gets very very hot here. What should be done in our climate. Also please don't argue why buy a golden in first place.

Clipping the coat of a Golden just because he goes in the pool and it takes too long for him or her to dry is ridiculous... don't shave a dog only because of the laziness of the owner. Wether its too much shedding in the house and you don't want to deal with it, or he goes swimming and you don't want to deal with drying him , or he's too hot in the summer ! His coat will shield him from the sun, keep him dry and warm in the water.. warm in the winter...

Tosou de mais, descaracteriza totalmente o golden, parecendo mais um labrador. Tenho um golden retriver e já fizeram esse corte errado com ele. Pesquisando vi que o corte correto de golden é o trim e não tem nada a ver com essa tosa que ela fez.
