Trena and I were home that morning. Her dad was in the hospital at Carraway and in iICU. She was getting ready to go to the hospital when I turned on the TV right after the first tower was hit. At that point, no one knew what was happening, was it a bomb or what. Slowly things came into focus that a plane had hit the tower, but no one knew why. I was watching it live when the second plane hit with that huge fireball. At that point it was shock and confusion as there was no doubt this was no accident, and we had been attacked on our homeland. Heard the pentagon had also been hit a little later and will never forget the feeling. Was again watching live when the first tower came down. Then a few minutes later, the second tower fell. We live close to the Birmingham Airport and will never forget the Erie quiet for that following few days here. It was surreal. However, we have forgotten this quickly as a society, and that is shocking. After that day millions turned for a short time to the Church and every Church was full. Today when things go wrong, folks run from not to the Church. That is tragic and shocking. There is a song written just after 911 and released in 2011 that today haunts me. It is SO prophetic about the US in this time it's shocking, Watch this lyric video Matt, and then tell me your reaction. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnWwen1vgdl6n5osi=QctKZmkmmAH9D8Yn

I was home watching Little House and my mom called and told me to turn on the news. At first we thought it was a small plane with pilot error. (That happened a few weeks before somewhere else). As soon as the 2nd plane hit. My mom said, “We’re at war.” I can still hear her voice…
