I haven’t done dressage since before the state machine got updated. So I was unsure of what you meant. BUT WOW. I tried it out myself and it was HECKING annoying :/

And they changed the jump thing, when you jump you could have pressed x and it would stop for 2 seconds and then just continue cantering, but now it doesn't exist anymore. So jjumping thigh jumps is really hard now :(

I've been playing for a long time and most of the things SSO talked about never came to be and the few that were added took years. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

So i played sso today earlier and my horse went crazy after i washed it..well it was starstable tbh so like first. It didnt move when i tried to drag it yk what i mean, second: it just jumped when i pressed jump in my stall/stable idk without running or so and third : it didnt move forward i could just spin it or walk by jumping with it and since it didnt run it made the character animations still

As a roleplay creator, They also changed the reins and you can no longer lead your horse. It's really frustrating that now you have to get on your horse to go places in roleplays because it's not realistic im gonna lead my horse from the pasture by getting on them.

I think we need to keep in mind that sso did put out on their instagram about the things that were still in progress and wasn't quite working as it should and that they were going to fix it, dont know why they decided to put out this update when it wasn't finished but they are going to fix it.

Hi! What do you like most about dressage in Star Stable? What other things do you like to do in star stable and in real life? I saw your speed drawing videos and stories. I like to do art too, and those are my favorite. I'd love, to see more videos like that. Also, do you have much experience with horses in real life? Finally, what do you like least about Star Stable and/or what would you make differently if you were in charge of it all? My favorite thing is the amazing graphics and I love how the scenery changes with the seasons and holidays. Plus, so many of the horses are just so cute.

Honestly, if they had a better and easier option for this they would've probably gone on that path. After all the updates are finished I bet it's not gonna look as odd as it does now. This was probably a bunch of work to go in their system and start some of the things all over again, basically redo them. Again, if they had another option, they would've probably gone on that path.

Im not part of the SSO dressage community but honestly even if we dont consider how much the disciplines got ruined in the game all of the horses got ruined in general.I hate when the horse jumps they just literally go back to galopp in the middle of the air before touching the ground and with the drifting I can't even take those sharp turns normally as I used to

I’m very attentive to something that bothers me, one thing that affected me the most about this update is the very weird moment when jumping at top Speed, at a point you just zoom back on the ground like the gravity randomly changed or a weird glitch. There are some moments you won’t see it because you touched the ground before it happens. I really don’t like it and this update. Because of this I don’t feel like I wanna play this anymore also because of the fear of more updates that are making this game worse. Please Sso hear us players.

I'm going to try not to get attacked when i say this but, as much as i love sso dressage it isn't actually proper dressage. It seems as if star stable plan on adding proper dressage in the future and the fact that the community enjoy turning in circles cleanly wont stop them from improving game movement. If you were to do dressage like this IN REAL LIFE it wouldn't be perfect either, and that's the aim right.. to make it more realistic??

The aim of Star Stable dressage is to create beautiful movements together with other riders in the arena. Typically when people use say "Star Stable Dressage," they are actually referring to an English Drill Team sort of activity, so the terminology can be confusing. In Star Stable Dressage you have many riders moving together so you want everything to look as neat as possible. The way the horses slide makes achieving that neatness more difficult because everyone veers to the side. (Luckily SSO has now toned down the sliding a bit and It isn't as bad as it was before.)

@@SSOTime It just upsets me to see the ungratefulness of the star stable community as all they do is hate ,hate, hate. Star stable wants nothing but to improve the game and every time they release an update that they're proud of and think is improvement the community always find some horrific way to put them down, saying how sso is ruined simply because of a slight turn to the left when doing 'dressage'. It's the same case with the horses, they're all so beautiful and may have small flaws but somehow the community manage to ruin the horse for other people with the amount of hate they get. Nobody can name a horse game better and more popular than star stable yet they have a LOT to say about how bad/Dead it is. I think this is mainly because of the community being so young and expecting everything to be how THEY like it. but hey-ho...

@@Katizac I think one of the main reasons why people get so angry at SSO is because of the way they've treated their players. For the past few years, they've been lying to us, breaking promises, failing to give players proper customer support, and ignoring our feedback. Star Stable is the only MMO horse game out there, so anyone looking for an MMO horse game has nowhere to turn to but to SSO, which is one of the reasons why the game is so popular. They don't have much competition. The amount of potential this game has is very high when considering how popular it is. That's why people (including me) get so frustrated at SSO when things like this happen. We don't make these videos out of hate; that would be a waste of time. We make them because we want to see the game grow.

At the time I'm writing this comment, luckily they fixed it. But it was still an unfortunate side effect. I agree with you, like we just have to deal with this stuff a lot in the SSO Dressage community and it's frustrating. First the sandlines, then the bending, then this.

As an Equestrian, I honestly like it! I don’t really have I no problem with “Star Stable Dressage” but it’s just….not realistic, and I don’t like things that are not realistic that much, and I do realistic Dressage in the game, same Dressage in real life, not a unrealistic remake of it! So I don’t really mind! Though, the canter transition being delayed is not realistic! So that’s a downside! ❤

I’d take dressage 1000 times over new characters. Dressage community contributes a LOT to SSO and makes up a good proportion of the player-base. SSO encourages dressage, as seen by the arena, the arena cam tools, the guiding dot-grid. There’s not much else to do once quests are finished so I’d say the SSO dressage community really needs to be considered by the game devs. The change in the mobile controls knocked dressage on the head for a lot of players. Really hoping they’ll address that too.

No it’s not, but it has worked to encourage it (look at that arena and the guiding dot grid) and player-created content is a vital component to keeping open world games alive; the SSO dressage community contributes a lot to SSO and its ongoing success. This is the case across many platforms. One of the responsibilities game devs have is to consider and listen to its communities.

Racing got broke too. It is really hard to do champs, mostly because just a simple jump over rocks or something can stop the horse randomly, like theres an invisible wall or something. The moving isn't even as clean as it used to be. No more boost jumps, no more shortcuts (some of them are really hard to do now cuz the horse is always stopping). I don't know why they even changed it. They said it gonna make it more realistic, but I don't see anything realistic in there.
