I agree !! BS !! Class 1 offshores top out at about 160mph !! (257km/h). That's NOT an offshore racing boat !! Maybe that speedo was actually km/h. 🤔

I'm not sure... When I bought my boat offshore racing wasn't an option, it's a pleasure boat. Not an offshore race boat, it's built for lake boating, with incredible power. Thats a question you would have to ask DCB... but regardless, the outcome would be 100% irrelevant to you as you neither race offshore nor do you have the buying power to enjoy something like this just for fun, either way... you still lose.

@@babydaddy1930 Imo DCB should build an offshore race catamaran and put all the naysayers to bed. In doing so puts their business at risk if by chance there is an accident from hull failure or driver error it would impact sales. Don’t think skaters never broke apart in offshore racing They have whereas Peter Hledin found out what works and what doesn’t. It’s a risk but looking at the DCB build quality I think they can put a winning combination together. As for the video related to this posting anything with a gob of power is going to run numbers. Put the cowboys and their hot rods in an offshore race and see let’s see how they handle real water Cheers

I'm just going out on a limb here. All those boats were founded at least a decade before DCB and if I'm not mistaken, they were founded with offshore racing in mind. I'm sure DCB had the intention of focusing on the poker run and shootout scene (again just guessing). Plus, building race ready boats and supporting the teams takes a lot of capital.

The 41 is heavier, same engines as mine. No chance against a smaller boat that has less weight. Close, but no it cannot "smoke the pack"

They're awesome boats and perfect for Havasu. Basically DCB is tuned perfectly for the conditions at the river (calm water, maybe 1-2 foot waves). The Florida offshore boats are heavier and taller because the water is a lot bigger out there. So I guess it's the hull design and weight/mass that means they're slower with the same power.

@@djlansing yes that was bad. Outerlimits had a horrible blowover as well. Cats are susceptible to that. V bottom don't go as fast but don't need to worry about the blowover
