@PickleballLibrarian I love the compact feel. If you want weighted keys they have that option with the hammer action but I chose compact mobility and weight. I'm really satisfied with the compact as my go to portable board

@@itsmaistro Thanks, this was my "next in line" to the Crumar Mojo. And I've heard other say the same thing about the Viscount Leslie. Because I'm almost 67, live on a third floor no-elevator building and want to gig with it, I think the Crumar Mojo 61 with the lower manual is the recipe for me. 25 + 17 pounds, these I can carry up and down those stairs. 40 is like my suitcase for travel! Most commentators seem to think that the Crumar has the best sound, which is what it's all about, after rall is said and done. When I was about 16 (1974), friends asked me if my 350 pound Hammond E-112 was portable. I said "nope." So cool that you can actually get a portable organ now, and even the iPad apps rock! I have the IK MM, not the Crumar one, but it's the same thing as in the boxes.

@JeffreySaxophoneTallNewton I honestly don't. But then again I rarely take it out of my studio to use for gigs. But it's easy to carry around IMO

@@itsmaistro Thanks. You're a lot younger than me! But it's not that unwieldy just to move around your studio? I'm debating on those Viscount 18 pedals or the Studiologic 17s, which are smaller / lighter. But like you, I like heel / toe. I started playing Hammond organ in 1969 when I was 11. I have a 1969 Hammond E-112 with the full pedalboard, so that's what I learned on. I've not done it for a long time (I play saxophone mainly), but I can see that there is no way to do heel / toe with the Studiologic, especially since I have size 16 feet!

@@itsmaistro Hey, I just found out that the Classic 2 manual does NOT have the extra sounds (AP, EP, Clav, etc.). Apparently that is only on the single manual 61, and even with the lower manual, you can't play EP on the lower, just the upper. Only 1 set of drawbars. Kinda strange. Is this true of the Classic - no other sounds except organ? Thanks...

@JeffreySaxophoneTallNewton yes, however this is a dedicated organ, which traditional organs do not have extra sounds, if that's something you want you would be better off with thr hammond skx pro.

@@itsmaistro Thanks. The Hammond is a possibility too, but it's 4K! And looks like a spaceship. The single manual Crumar Mojo has all those sounds, and they are actually excellent! The reason for them is the practicality of gigging, and not wanting to bring an extra board for AP, EP, etc. They make the lower manual, but only one set of drawbars. For $200 a box can be added to sit on top with a second set (D9u, I think). But I thnik that's what I'm going to get. Costs about $477 more than the Classic for all of this.

@raincells the settings you set should save in general for that organ or atleast the live set. Now for each custom sound I don't believe you have to change each time but I could be wrong. I no longer have my YC61 so I cant check for you

@@ldlorenz I traded them out for the viscount legend live pedals. The JG3 pedals are hard to play heel toe on, not suitable for long term use

@doeshecare that's where the viscount especially the live fell short for me, I relied on the internal leslie because I don't have an actual leslie to hook up to, so without a real leslie the internal sim on the viscount is dare I say trash. That C2D and other clones shine in that area, not to mention the viscounts portability is terrible especially for someone of my size and height

@@itsmaistro that’s understandable but the challenge is that we’re marketing a keyboard that’s not even available on the market in quantity nore affordability anymore it’s great that you have one and that it works for you but the issiue is if we were to be won over to get a Nord most of us would not be able to get one anyway because there not on the market like they use to be, befor the pandemic I could buy an full nord in a bundle deal with peddles for around 4000-5000, but now because of supply and demand they have gone up in price. I never stated that the Nord was trash, it’s far from that it’s deffinetly a great keyboard. It was my first choice before I heared the Viscount. But for the price, availability and sound the Viscount is deffinetly a great choice. Your one of the lucky ones according to your taste and to add I have heard the viscount set up to a sound system and in my opinion they still sound awesome. ❤️ best of luck and make some awesome music with you new Nord.
