Sorry I took so long to respond. I have been struggling with a new autoimmune disease and other things that got me really depressed. I am feeling much better now. To answer your question. I choose the port because my mom had it and she said it was easier to take the chemo that way. I just got it removed a couple of month ago and it all went well.

I have just started chemo as i have cancer on right breast.

Am really worried for her she never post anything for the last 2years

One of my goals in sharing my story is for more people to push for it, especially at a younger age. It seems that it's more common that doctors may miss screening and miss diagnoses because of age. 💚🧡

@@LovingLavenedear Lavene, I am cancer free since over a decade...I pray for you to get there too but keep in mind...advocate for yourself, don't allow a doctor to tell you to come back whenever as it's "nothing to worry about". I had 2 cryosurgeries initially and that doctor kept telling me afterwards that I was fine. But my most inner told me, that I wasn't *"fine"* so I went to get a second opinion. That doctor retested after the surgical sites had healed regenerated new tissue and guess what, I was right, my gut feeling had not betrayed me. He put me in the hospital after we decided on a hysterectomy at that point but my primary care whom I was friends with went into surgery to keep an eye on things. I had given him a release form, that if anything looked suspicious or if it cannot be said with certainty that my ovaries are not affected, to go ahead and remove them too. As a P.A I knew that if the uterine looks suspicious as the uterine lining toward the ovaries "might" be affected, that the likelyhood of it spreading to the ovaries like a wildfire, casting far metastases into other organs. And again I was right when I came to it, my primary and gynecologist told me, that they removed both ovaries too and sent them to 3 different pathology specialists throughout the USA for evaluation. I was discharged already when the result came back and the gut feeling to remove them tol was right on target as they found cancerous cells in the ovaries too. Trust your gut feeling and the Lord Jesus Christ and never feel bad toward your doctors, it's your body, your life! May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you! 🙏🌿✝️❤

When I had the first surgery to remove my left ovary my doctor also did a biopsy of my bladder and rectum. They found and removed some suspicious things. 💚🧡 Yes, it was my salivary gland more specifically my submandibular glands under the chin and my sublingual glands under the tongue. Yes my throat was very sore and in pain. She took a culture but they didn't find anything. She said she thinks it could be that I have stones blocking the gland. @@LovingLavene It stands for Gastrostomy Tube. Basically it's a feeding tube. My Cancer was found as a lump at the base of my tongue and spread to three lymph nodes in my neck. As treatment continues they are expected me to have trouble swallowing. So I may have to use the tube. I'm hoping I won't have to but only time will tell. God Bless 🙌
