I have the same Waterpik as you and have never cleaned it after owning it for a couple years. I cleaned it for the first time today and followed your instructions but no mold or any residue came out from the handle or the base. Prior to cleaning it today, the only thing I do is make sure I drain as much water as I can from the Waterpik after each use.

Nice video. I heard about one tip I thought I’d share. Once you loosen the oil filter, slip a 1 quart sandwich bag over the filter and then back it the rest of the way off. The bag catches the leaking oil and it is a much cleaner process. Also, I like to apply some fresh oil on the new filter gasket before installing it. Thanks

I see you have 2 catch cans on your Maverick, as do I. Ive noticed that after 12k km the top catch can is completely clean. Not a drop of water or oil in it. The bottom one always has some peanut butter colored water in it. Likely dont need thew top one at all, but the bottom one works well.

I was 315 pounds of chewed bubble gum. I recently lost 100 pounds in 8 months just following the carnivore way of eating. size 44 waist to 34. I'm on month 14 and just doing maintenance. I followed the plan strict for 90 days and lost the first 50 pounds. I regrettably neglected to do any exercise. I occasionally deviate from the plan, now, you know ice cream with the kids, or maybe a slice of pizza once in a great while. But mostly, I eat beef, bacon, butter, eggs, chicken wings and other meats. Life is good when you can look in the mirror and actually love what you see there...
