Seems that seller got his story from here: From whatuseek Rockon 1 post · Joined 2022 #18 · Aug 7, 2022 (Edited) I own an 18k Grande Canale chronograph with 60 flawless diamonds surrounding the bezel by Francesco Basile. It was bought by a Sheik in Qatar who gifted it to the person I bought it from. Francesco Basile is a boutique watchmaker located in Venice, Italy and when Berliscone was Prime Minister of Italy he gave out Basile watches to the heads of state gathered for a conference in Italy including Obama. It was the most expensive gift given to Obama as stated in public records. I contacted Mr. Basile years ago in regards to a replacement alligator strap for my watch and asked replacement cost for insurance. He came back with a figure of $28k. The Chinese do not make clones by Basile and the watch you have is on the lower end of what he produces. His movements are legitimate Swiss made and modified to his specs for the particular watch he produces. They are not Chinese movements. The Grande Canale is no longer made and he now makes watches like the Casanova as well as others. Here is a video of Mr. Basile in Italian. Hope this helps.
