This is the ONE song that I performed in middle school band that still gives me goosebumps to this day. I love this song. I was a trombone player in middle school. My band teacher in eighth grade in fall of 2001 had us practice to perform this song at the Christmas show in winter of 2001. His name was Brian Kothe and little did I know how much of an impact he would have on my life in the most humorous of ways. He was a hardcore fan of System of a Down and introduced all of us to their music. That would get me hooked on that band and introduced me to Nu Metal which has been the foundation of my taste in music to this day. 😂

This song popped in my head today and I started whistling it. It is amazing.. I had not heard the song since I played it in my middle school band back in 1989. I still remembered the entire song. It’s the one song that has stuck with me over the past 33 years from middle school band. We played it in 6th and 7th grade. When I moved to a new school in 8th grade, this was far too advanced. It was so disheartening. I moved from a tiny school to a much larger school, but the band was absolutely awful.
