my theory is (a) they are convicted, they want to give their life to Christ but they are confused because of their flesh, so it's best we lift them up. (b) don't get into an argument with them, they are confused and so it will not cause any growth in the Lord . Their confusion means that they can't bring any value to a discussion.

@TOLTECAAZTECA I'm interested in how you came to believe all that you've said in this paragraph. There are quite a few serious points that you listed, which I'm sure millions of people in this world believe. I am curious if this is just something you came up with or if you have some type of theological doctrine off of which you base these rather extreme statements. I think most Christians base their beliefs off the Bible, and all your statements contradict what Jesus said in the New Testament.

I'm assuming you've met a few who may have acted that way toward you. I am so sorry that you experienced those type of encounters with pissed off people who claim to be Christian. That totally sucks, because I've encountered Christians who are joyful and compassionate and genuine. It seriously breaks my heart that happened to you.
