Wow! Amen!! Hallelujah. Yes we must be obedient to Authority place over us but Also Christ is our ultimate authority so we must to be obedience to Him but we cant not be obedient to Him if we don't have great faith that help us understand Authority as the centurion in Matthew 8. He understood authority because he himself was summited under authority. Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus. 🙌 ”As Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came up to Him, begging Him [for help], and saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, with intense and terrible, tormenting pain.” Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” But the centurion replied to Him, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man subject to authority [of a higher rank], with soldiers subject to me; and I say to one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, He was amazed and said to those who were following Him, “I tell you truthfully, I have not found such great faith [as this] with anyone in Israel. I say to you that many [Gentiles] will come from east and west, and will sit down [to feast at the table, and enjoy God’s promises] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven [because they accepted Me as Savior],“ Matthew 8:5-11 AMP

Good morning pastor Julian. Im fairly new to your channel and in loving each teaching God speaking through you. I have a question in regards minute 13:30-35 of this video where you are talking about Samuel was at rest for God to speak to Him. My question is: isn't it the same as the sabbath rest where God has giving us that exact day as a commandment to rest from our enemies and have a super natural encounter with Him and since that day is Holy separated on to Him? I hope i made my question clear. Thank you🙏🏼

Hi Jangeld40, Glad to hear you are loving the content. Regarding your question, if I understand your question correctly, I agree that the sabbath day rest was a tool for the people of the old covenant to take time out to draw close to God, and hear His voice as their focus was on the Lord during this time. The Rest of God is a big topic, and require way more attention than what can be done here. The old covenant sabbath day rest was about a specific day, this was to get the people always to remember God. the new covenant rest is beyond a day of rest, its living continually everyday with a permanent awareness and access to the Spirit of Christ, because He is in our spirit and hearts always. When we accept Christ in our heart, Christ in turn gives us a permanence of rest, in this rest we are able to hear His voice by the Holy Spirit more pronouncedly. So our rest is no longer in a 24hour day, but we are now living in the rest of God through Christ everyday. Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version (NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. We have entered into the rest of God by Christ permanently. The Sabbath day rest in the old covenant was pointing to the permanent eternal rest in God through Christ, one can say the sabbath Rest is now everyday, we have access to the raw presence of God by the indwelling Holy Spirit every day. So if we are awake or a sleep we can have an encounter with God. The old Covenant rest is a shadow of the new covenant rest. The old was pointing to the new a more excellent rest, because its not limited to a day, its now a way of life everyday. Its like our rest in God now transcends time and space, and is now an eternal rest. Hebrews 4:10 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. We no longer limited to a day of rest, we are now able to have supernatural encounters with God everyday, as we are now living in the rest of God. That being said, the rest that Samuel was experiencing was not specific to the sabbath day rest, but actual rest, but can be related in concept in the sense that Rest is a prerequisite to really hear from God. We need to be still enough to hear Him. Its when we are still/rested we can know that He is God.. I hope I was able to answer your question somewhat, and not tip toed around it, if not you can let me know. Thanks

@@cultureofheaven Thank you so much for replying back. I agree about the Rest Of God being a big topic to present on this comments section. So to understand what you said I kind of went in to a study mode right now to fully understand what you just said. In this scripture"28"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you REST [refreshing your souls with salvation]. The word REST here means this in the interlinear concordance G373 to cause or permit one to cease from any movement or labour in order to recover and collect his strength to give rest, refresh, to give one's self rest, take rest to keep quiet, of calm and patient expectation G373 rest, refresh, take res, give rest, take ease. Now in v."29" Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find REST (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. The word REST G372 means intermission, cessation of any motion, business or labour, rest, recreation, rest, rest (with G2192) "30"For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light."" Matthew 11:28-30 AMP Now here v. 10 "For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labors, just as God rested from [those labors uniquely] His own." Hebrews 4:10 AMP G2664; reposing down, i.e. (by Hebraism) abode:-rest. putting to rest calming of the winds a resting place metaph. the heavenly blessedness in which God dwells, and of which he has promised to make persevering believers in Christ partakers after the toils and trials of life on earth are ended For what i understand now the Old Testament and the New Testament are the two ways God speak to us. The NT is concealed in the OT and the OT is revealed in the NT but We cannot understand one without the other. We have the shadow in the OT but the substance in the NT (Heb 10:1). The New Covenant, unlike the Old, is not of the letter but of the Spirit (2 Cor 3:6 Rom 7:6). In the OT the Law was written in tablets of stone, but now God writes it in our hearts of flesh (Jer 31:31-33; Heb 8:8-10; 2 Cor 3:3). The ceremonial part of the Law takes a spiritual meaning in the New Testament. example, the Rest that samuel speaks is the rest of Christ who gives to His people here in our life and also in eternity (Matthew 11:28; Heb 4:4-10). Eternal Rest that remains for the people of God could not be: Sabbath Rest of Gen. 2: 1- 4, for this was God's rest and not man's. The sabbath of Ex. 20: 8- 11 is the rest in the promised land, David and Paul spoke of a future rest long after these three rests (Heb. 4: 7- 10) The rest that remains for the people of God is two fold: 1. Rest in Christ (Mt. 11: 28- 30 Heb. 4: 3) 2. Eternal rest in the next life (Heb 18, 5 1 Rev. 14: 13) Now comparing Gods Rest in Genesis 2:2-3”And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. So God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it [as His own, that is, set it apart as holy from other days], because in it He rested from all His work which He had created and done.“ Genesis 2:2-3 AMP cease, desist, rest,Qal)to cease to rest, desist (from labour) (Niphal) to cease (Hiphil) to cause to cease, put an end to to exterminate, destroy to cause to desist from to remove to cause to fail (Qal) to keep or observe the sabbath This Is the Sabbath Day Of the Lord Holy separated on to Him💯 I hope i was not confusing. 🙂
