I changed jobs at the Dept. Where I use to be all over the Unit I'm now assigned to Head Quarters so the only things I get to see are the HQ stuff.

@@lyonai6f i wish there was more calfire law enforcement in san mateo county. Most if not all the CZU guys are out of felton.

@@AnthonyG13EmergencyVideos I have heard that CZU can be kinda weird like that. Its like Santa Cruz and San Mateo are almost operated as two separate entities. Like the southern guys don't go north and the north guys don't go south. I'm not sure how true that is.

@@lyonai6f pretty true. Unless we have a good working veg fire everyone stays put for the most part. I think i want to do calfire law enforcement as a career. It seems like a pretty cool job.

Hello, Yes that is the Del Puerto FFS in Patterson.

Its kind of an odd station. The Station is CAL FIRE's Sunol station. As the story goes, Alameda County wanted a station in the area but there really isn't anywhere to build one. Putting two different fire departments in one house would be problematic at best so it was decided to staff the AlCo engine with CAL FIRE personal. Thus, Engine 14 is punched out by AlCo and 1684 is punched out by CAL FIRE. What I've been told happens behind the scenes is that AlCO punches out E14 and the Capt asked the CAL FIRE Capt if they want to come along. CAL FIRE usually does as "auto-aide". All in all it works out really well.

Yeah, albeit I'm not sure when. They did renumber 106 to 913 so the new Firehawk 106 in now "on the books".

Hello, I really don't know. I heard that they might be getting a new one soon. They already have a new transport truck that they got last year.

I think Michigan has the same thing about LE getting blue. The volunteers there can have code 3 equipment on their personal vehicles and I know that blue was strictly forbidden. At the time you could get in a good bit of trouble just having a blue light in your trunk.

The problem I see with all of the chargers is there coming from India. And with all the shipping issues we have trying to get anything into our boarders. I don’t dare buy one. Lol

If you could sometime. Make a video on how you wired the charger up, and how you can change the intervals of flashes. I think it would make a very interesting video.

@@lucky135million In the video around the 0:32 mark you can see the flasher unit under the light changer, additionally, there is a small photo cell that turns the light off during the daylight hours. I didn't change any of it, its exactly as I got it so I'm not overly sure how you change the characteristic. Powering it was easy. it runs off a 12 vdc power supply. I have an old one from Radio Shack (yep, that old) that runs it just fine. The power supply is 13.8 vdc at 2.5 amps, but 12 vdc should be just fine. Amazon has some for pretty cheap.

Actually its Rural Metro in Santa Clara Co. For dispatching and radio traffic we call them County EMS. I'm not sure when the contract is up for EMS in the county but it will be interesting to see if AMR wins it back.

I don't think it's a Q but it does have a mechanical siren. The only pickup in the unit to have one.

Actually no. Cal Fire 1600 is the Santa Clara Unit which covers five counties (Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and parts of Stanislaus and San Joaquin). This was taken at our Sunol station which is a bit odd because it is actually two stations in one. It is Cal Fire Sunol station and Al Co. station 14. It was merged like this because Al Co needed a station in the Niles Canyon area, but, there really is no place to build a station. So they cut a deal with Cal Fire to run one of their engines out of the Sunol station. To keep things simple, even though it is an Al Co engine, Cal Fire personnel staff it.

@@lyonai6f "Morgan Hill" is the identifier for the Emergency Communications Center for the Santa Clara Unit (1600) of Cal Fire (California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection). It looks like mike smith is identifying the Cal Fire units by the name of their ECC's. "Felton" is the identifier for the San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit (1700) ECC. Sunol Station is on Pleasanton-Sunol Road with a Pleasanton mailing address. I seem to get it and the Sunshine Station on the north side of Mt. Diablo. I've been to Sunshine, but not to Sunol. I lived in a small town in the eastern Sierra and could pick up some of the Santa Clara Unit's repeaters on a scanner I had at home. It was a weird path and I could also pick up KWAV 96.9 FM from Monterey in full stereo!

Yes the SP pulled the track when they left. The NCRy volunteers are in the process of relaying the track as they work their way to Pleasanton

@@lyonai6f yes, i can see that, that is super cool! I see places like valley ave where they are already installing the grade crossing, and when I check google maps the satellite view shows a dirt path, but the newer street view actually shows a track there!
