I have Both Up lights and Both 360 tubes hooked to soundswitch but the Up Lights are showing a different color during the auto loop. Do you know why?

What are your thoughts on the x40s. The stats are impressive. Do you recommend them over BassBoss tops?
@djmojoeofficial
@djmojoeofficial 4 күн бұрын
They sound so clean and accurate at reproducing the original sound. You hear everything. They can get loud without compromising on quality. Personally, if you can afford the x40s, yes. Just pair them with subwoofers (Meyers or BassBoss subs which I love) and you’ll get amazing clean sound throughout the whole spectrum

Great video - just purchased a Bose T8S as a musician who gigs at private events. Also own a Yamaha mixer which as you say is a great little mixer, great quality sound but somewhat limited. I bought it mainly to interface with a set of Bose F1 speakers I've also just purchased second-hand, so can't wait to hget it all together and see the up lift in quality of my output

I use the Tonematch1 for my F1 812 with Sub... and I have been afraid to try it since. I turned it up 10% and it shook Pots and pans in the kitchen and everything on the walls, including the doors throughout the house! As long as you run everything to the sub and THEN run the sub into the top. LETHALITY!

So you have the paddle antenna for the mic receiver in your rack- then I’m gathering you have a QLX-D transmitter from your audio output just hidden in the back- and I don’t see any antennas on the receivers sitting on your speakers… wouldn’t you also want that signal to be as strong as the mic signal?

I just bought one of these, used it a bar, small dj gig. It had enough power for like 100 people, and it never busted a sweat. Im going to buy another one for weddings or larger events.

Love this debate. OK lets get it... I recently purchased a set of Maui 44 g2's I used them for about 5 weddings. I was in love with them but hated loading and unloading from a car. I then a week later attended a wedding where the DJ had the Evox 12's. Short of the story is I sold my Maui 44's and picked up the Evox 12's. The main reason was on the dance floor there was more sound and punch from the speakers than there was with the Mauis. The RCF I could actually feel the bass and mid punch there as the Mauis the sound was more all over the room. Im super happy with my switch to RCF even though the technology is older.

They look better without, the saggy wrinkles reminds me of my grandfather in his fruit of the looms. Maybe @BASSBOSSBASS can start making white finishes so we don't need to raid our grandparents underwear drawers lol
@djmojoeofficial

haha I agree. I have white speakers already but prefer to use the BassBoss for weddings. This will have to be my solution for now whenever planner wants white speakers. It was my first time covering them. Maybe the wrinkles will go away if I stretch out the fabric a bit more. But yea, they look better the more you see them from afar

What is the difference between in-ear monitors and headphjnes? Can't you do it all in your headohones anyway without monitors? Thanks
@djmojoeofficial
@djmojoeofficial 3 ай бұрын
You can hear your music using either one of them. Difference is the form factor and size. I feel more comfortable with in-ears. Yes, you can DJ all in your headphones. But my DJ style is having one ear listening to headphone/in-ear and the other ear exposed so I can hear my environment for any crowd reaction and awareness

There’s a lot of benefits to using IEMs…I’ve used them to perform for the last 15 or so years..mainly because they’re just better at protecting my ears, don’t need to turn the headphone volumes way up… 2nd I never need to use the booth monitor especially if ur gear has split cue.

The RCF is a 7 year old design so hopefully there will be an update coming soon. The LD systems is a new design. I prefer the LD's feature set and sound quality and coverage.

Yeah the pole isn't my favorite. Thinking about replacing my Evox 8 with the LD Maui 28 G3 because of the modern design but then i started wondering if I should upgrade to the 44 G2's which is how I stumbled upon this video.

Awesome video. I've had a serious question for years? hopefully You or some here can help me ... Do you just plug the output signal of your mixer (Sound Source) into the mic/line input of Senheiser transmitter? and it just knows the difference between line and mic input levels? or is there an adapter to lower the level somehow so it doesn't sound distorted?
@djmojoeofficial
@djmojoeofficial 3 ай бұрын
Yes, that what I do. Then on the transmitter or on my DJ speaker, I control the volume settings or mic/line to make it the volume that I want.

Nice vlog, however with most of the corporate events I have done, they really don't give a rat's ass about your music. Just as long as its not rap with rated X lyrics. Nobody's going to dance or put their hands in the air like they just don't care. In fact, its just a money maker so don't feel bad if nobody dances or give you props. I think you went overboard with the gear as well. You may as well hooked up a 1/8 to RCA cable from your laptop to a scratch mixer with a pair of your EVOX's. I doubt anyone would care. Peace and thank you
@djmojoeofficial
@djmojoeofficial 3 ай бұрын
yea that's true. It depends on the event though. I DJ'd a corporate event where they expected people to dance and I engaged with them in that way and loved it. As for gear, yes, I may have because I wanted to be ready for anything and I can always bring it down if needed.

Yeah, its working. But, my concern is that the transmitter is made for mic level inputs and not for strong line level inputs. Hope, it doesn't damage the transmitter in long run.

Great setup and I'm sure everyone is grateful for the tips. With that said, when I do corporate events, especially ones with no dancing, I don't focus on bass bottoms at all. I use a smaller sound setup that is capable of filling the space with sound, wihout bumping it. Especially since there's lots of conversations going on they don't want to compete with a DJs bass bottoms. Basically, you're there for background/mood music. Like you said, work smarter, not harder. You don't need the system you used. To each their own, but I personally don't use that much for these kinds of events. The only exception is when I'm booked for corporate holiday parties, where there will be dancing later in the evening.

Thanks for your comment! Yea, I guess it's just preference. I just like hearing the low end more. It makes the music more enjoyable and good to feel a beat. I guess just keep it at a good volume where people around can still talk over.

Very informative video for sure. I have a question about the Bassboss. My rig is all EV ETX gear, subs and tops....if you had to compare that BB15 with another brands sub cabinet...what would you compare it to?
@djmojoeofficial
@djmojoeofficial 4 ай бұрын
Great question! There are other good subs out there but nothing else that's similar in my opinion. BassBoss just hits deeper and cleaner than other 15" subs, and even an 18" sub of a brand that I'm not gonna name. Or maybe there's one out there that you can compare, I just haven't heard any yet that's as good as BassBoss
