I saw his documentary. Talented? Yes. Respect? No.

Nice to hear from Haring himself! So much content talks about his life & his work. Rare to hear the dialogue come directly from him. Thank you!

Checl out the video 'Kieth Haring New Year's Eve Party' on 5ninthavenue project channel. It's an hour long home movie/vlog from 1984. Great snapshot of an era. That channel is brilliant, Nelson documented a decade of the scene. Cheers

Anyone know the name of the model he painted toward the 30 minute mark ? If he's still alive I imagine he'd be about 65 now ... Curious to see what he's doing these days ...

The bad art vs good art is just so subjective. There’s so much overlooked art, simply because people have been conditioned to think what good art is to the masses

Just saw this 2day... from the guardian: Richard Serra, who has died aged 85, was a remarkable cultural figure - a sculptor who belonged to the generation of American minimalists, was associated with process art and made experimental films, yet evoked something of an earlier, more heroic age. The critic Robert Hughes described him as “the last abstract expressionist”.
