Thank you. probably around 7/8. depending on which restaurant you go to. My favorite was Chez Isabelle, but they were all good. We didn't really have a bad meal in any of the main restaurants. Buffet was a bit hit and miss though.

We didn't really stay on the beach that much as we made use of our swim up room more. Didn't really see many vendors whilst we were there. Not to say there weren't any. Just be polite and say no. As far as I could tell there were plenty of beds and umbrellas available on the beach for general use. Thanks, these are my first attempts, trying to keep them short and simple.

My wife and i stayed at el carmen two years ago and never had issues with finding a beach chair. There are plenty available on the beach. There is no need to pay more for club level to get a good location on the beach. The only issue we had was at the main pool. Its not that big and fills up quick, so its best to arrive early, if you want a good spot there. We enjoyed it so much we’re going back in June and booked a swim up room this time. I would definitely recommend booking a swim up room if available. There aren’t many resorts that offer the amount of swim ups as El Carmen. Every building is 3 levels tall and has a pool that runs the length of the building, so a 1/3 of the rooms are swim ups or have private pools. The rooms on the 3rd floor all have small pools on the roof, so 2/3 of the rooms have there own pool access. If available, i would highly recommend upgrading to swim up or a room with a pool on the roof. We payed $50 more a night for the upgrade. Your not going to get that cheap of an upgrade at any other resort. The club level rooms are a bit more pricey and personally don’t think they are worth the cost.
