I know what a moped is. I've owned about 20 of them, starting in 1975, at age 16. But they are not back. About 2 1/2 years ago I bought a 1979 Sears Free Spirit. I spent THREE YEARS looking for a moped. I just plain lucked out finding that one. Not only is nobody selling new mopeds anymore, but most of the older ones seem to have disappeared. I see chinese scooters all over the place, but I haven't seen a moped in over 20 years.

I bought a pair of 05 tomos lx mopeds that had been sitting in a warehouse for 19 years , they each had under 200 miles , one runs perfectly but the other one is being the bane of my existance , it will not shift out of first and no matter how much i loosen the front brakes they always tighten up to where it drags all the time ive even resulted to just disconnecting them and they just screech and drag and get the hub hot , thinking this one is a factory lemon , probably why it sat for 19 years , but i love the other one lol

Hello all tomos guys, i have disassembled my Gearbox (Tomos Classic A35) and exchanged the Pedals Axis. Now i can start it by turning the pedals backwards, but i cant use the pedals for riding forwards / they just soin freely and while driving the Pedals also spin backwards automatically while the motor is on, do you know what is the issue?

I think I know. You need one way needle bearing. It's site suppose to be on the pedal shaft...

So I have a 1979 Tomos Automatic A3, and bought Some New Parts for the carburator (encarwi) and the motorcycle dosent wan't to work at all now, even with the carburator taken apart a.k.a. joust the lid and the plastic floatiy from inside of the carburator removed. I don't know why.
