I spent a chunk on a gallon, with very high hopes as usual. Interior windshield is my hardest task as a full time mobile detailer. Sadly i am not impressed. I used a brand new towel too. Still streaks. And i noticed like 30 minutes later i got a weird haze on some windshields that wasn't visible at first. Weird. To me it smell like body shop grease remover and paint prep.
@JDDetailingАй бұрын
I very surprised to hear that. I found like it smelt like pear drop sweets. Ive not had an issue at all with this glass cleaner. Unless there was something on the glass to begin with and may need going over again.
@kirkwilson5900Ай бұрын
@JDDetailing I'm surprised too and super bummed. I'm going to ask for a refund which I never do. Trust me, I wanted it to work. I've used it numerous times, on non coated windows with no other weird sprays or other products on them, I've tried with brand new and seasoned correctly washed microfiber window towels. I do this for a living, every day. So it's not my first try on windows. It's puzzling. I am a perfectionist and sometimes do windshields 4 or 5 times before im happy with the results. But this wasn't just a few little streaks, for me, a weird haze formed, also it's very draggy and not smooth wiping. Maybe I got a bunk batch? Who knows, came from a gigantic distributor who I trust.

60ml vs 450ml, wich isn't a great comparison. I have both and must say BH does still have some more cleaning power when compared at similar dilutions but isn't near as economical as magifoam is. For pure cleaning, BH is the winner but that doesn't make magifoam useless or garbage...
@JDDetailing3 ай бұрын
Hi it was a while since doing this video so I remember correctly I used both products in accordance with the recommended dilution ratios. Bilt hamber is still economical as the 5 litre is overall cheaper than Autobrite and evens out. Autobrite is by no mean useless it has its own specific use however for my style and needs on a daily basis I would prefer Bilt hamber.

We use this method, if the car is not too dirty then you can get away without using hose and pre-wash. We soak the car in ONR using pressure sprayers. Then wash it, 256:1 (4 caps full in a 5-10L bucket) using normal chenille wash mitts. (different mitt for top and bottom of the car) We then spray a light layer of wax to use as a drying aid and to add a little protection. Thanks for uploading this :)

tip for you. spray WD-40 silicone spray on a paper towel and rub the wiper blades with it. it cleans them, feeds the rubber and protects them against the elements. i do it once a week. keeps the blades in top condition indefinitely. can be used on all rubber trim parts of the car to prevent them aging and cracking up.
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
Thanks Neil an interesting hack there. I’m just wondering if a tyre/rubber serum would be any good?
@EP.IC077 ай бұрын
Use a dressing or trim coating and a QD without additives(gloss/ protection) for cleaning your wipers. Leave WD-40 for loosening tight rusty bolts or greasing your bicycle chain ;)

@@JDDetailing I saw a tip many years ago here on youtube, this guy would soak his wiper blades in 303 protectant overnight and swore their life would be extended. He would also spray 303 even on the threads of his tires to extend their life or maybe it was to prevent tire dry rot if the car was going to sit.

You must live somewhere that’s not that cold. Having a hose connected in the winter where I am would be suicidal. Realistically you could just use the rinseless to neutralize the chemical and then wipe dry.
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
This is cold for us we do have snow but frozen pipes it’s a rarity. I’ve recently started to use rinseless wash and getting used to how it works. At the moment I’m replacing a traditional soap with rinseless.
@Stainlessautos8 ай бұрын
Honestly it’s a fantastic replacement, much less suds to clean up too! I’ve done the same for most situations. Acid prewash, basic prewash, and then rinseless for the contact are my only three now.
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
I’m starting to use it more often mainly due to convenience less equipment etc & saves on time. I’m more inclined to use it with a pre wash but I have had suggestions to use it on its own or as replacement more for water.
@ANaughtyTree8 ай бұрын
You used a LOT of chemical on just one wheel. You're going through more product than you should be if that's how you normally clean a wheel. Keep in mind, Rinseless is encapsulating the dirt inside of it wherever it's applied. I'd recommend making the nozzle have a slightly more narrow spray and just spray from top to bottom on the wheel. Let it dwell and you will see the dirt start to melt off. Also, with Rinseless, all you have to do is wipe it off. I have dedicated wheel towels I use to clean and dry them. Rinsing off the RINSELESS defeats the purpose of it.
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
This was the first time using a Rinseless for wheels, I’m still a bit apprehensive of using Rinseless on its own. I rinsed it at the end due to wanting use gyeon wetcoat. Thanks for the suggestions will give them a try.
@Intimidat0n8 ай бұрын
Your process is excruciatingly long. Here's the true process: 1. Spray with wheel cleaner(I prefer a safe APC such as Optimum Power Clean 2. Clean wheel 3. Rinse with your favorite rinseless wash(ONR 256:1 is a great option) 4. Spray wax 5. Dry wheel and move on with your life This is how you clean a wheel with rinseless
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
The method I’ve used is similar with the addition of water. My understanding if Rinseless Wash you don’t need to rinse of at the end. Are you describing at waterless Wash?
@Intimidat0n8 ай бұрын
@@JDDetailing no. You rinse the chemical off the wheel with rinseless to effectively "rinse" and neutralize the cleaner. No water needed
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
Ok you are using rinseless as replacement for water that seems interesting. As a person who is new to rinseless I still have a mindset of using soap & use rinseless effectively as a replacement for soap that doesn’t require rinse, in this video I did use water at the end to apply gyeon wetcoat that being said I could have used gyeon with a damp cloth.
@samweb74868 ай бұрын
I am sorry , but what is the green gizmo you have in your right hand, that emits rays of what appears to be a clear liquid? I think some call it water. That is NOT RINSELESS wash. That might be Rinseless soap or solution, but if you use a hose and water... my friend, that is not rinseless.
@JDDetailing8 ай бұрын
My understanding of rinseless was you don’t need to do a final rinse otherwise the absence of water would be a waterless wash. I used water at the due to gyeon wetcoat I could have use wetcoat with a damp cloth…
@seabrew18 ай бұрын
huh? what nonsense. Who is stopping me from rinsing my car before i do a rinseless? lol open your mind.

That does Not seem to be a real winter... more like a fall with weeds still green and no trace of road salt... Would love to see a real "winter" wash where you only have about less than 10 minutes from start to finish or else deal with frozen soap solution or a sheet of ice over the entire car... 😉
