Wow 11 years ago this video was made! The Lodge was always our goto place when we lived in the Golden Hill hood of San Diego. All in all, it has to be one of the most spectacular places on Earth and we will always miss the golden opportunity to just bop up there for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon getaway. Never stayed there though and always ate at the more casual Grill beyond cruising around the grounds, gift shop, and pro shop! Stayed away from it during the Buick though as it was a far too massive amount of humanity and a parking nightmare. We left Cal in March 2020 for semi-retirement in Aberdeen, WA and often reflect on how lucky we were to expereince such a uniquely amazing place!

These elephants are really cute but they need to be in a SANCTUARY or in the WILD There are two great sanctuaries in the US. Elephant sanctuary tennessee and PAWS in california. We need to transition AWAY from the zoo model. They need more NATURE and SPACE. They deserve this!!!
