If you play it at at 33.3rpm instead of 45rpm it sounds really cool. ideally I think a sped up 33.3 would have been optimal lol ;) About 10 years ago i threw away the remaining 100 records as I had been dragging them around since the 80's. The original pressing was 500.

Legendär! Damals stand ihre Telefonnummer auf dem Cover der LP und wir riefen sie zuhause an. Sie ging ans Telefon und wir waren geschockt, dass sowas möglich war. Noch besser gefällt mir der Song NO MORE SUCH PAIN. Was ist wohl aus ihr geworden? Man findet nichts im Netz über Angela Werner. Auf Spotify gibt es auch nichts von ihr. 😢❤

'Brushing Your Hair' has got to be the most un-space disco title for what is essentially a quintessential space disco track. It's up there with the genius that is the B-Side track 'Softness' that Alex did on the Dorothy 'I Confess' single. I wish I could afford the Vinyl-on-demand box set featuring a lot of unreleased material! Thanks for sharing.

They never released an Album only singles. The label gave up on them because they didnt care and the management was getting into bankrupcy but still they had a contract. That means a lot of good songs but ZERO promotion. The only video they did was for a tv station. Equipment: they used the PPG wave, CMI Fairlight II, MC drumm conputer version 2. Yeah great band but really ZERO promotion.... Sad...

Duran Duran and Models (referenced in the link below) blended together literally equal this. Hardly a commercial breakthrough and early split-up, they seemed to be popular in the San Francisco Bay area, alongside other obscure bands (Metal however) like Kamikaze (they sound like Dokken, who unsurprisingly, are from Los Angeles). However, Academy's sound is not quite American, possibly more Australian Pop sound from the 1980s. I get it, has that 'island' party-ring to it (an example of what this means kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5a9lZmrpLCHnac).

It just goes to show Associates were born by both parties,this could quite easily be an Associates track,Billy would have covered this brilliantly. God bless you both and thankyou for making my life that little bit different ❤

I had this as a promotional copy, the b side was excellent and a great way to learn to play the 'air synth'. I think it was called Starflight but could be wrong.
