"Twice Lynch auditioned for the position of Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist - once in 1979, losing to Randy Rhoads. Lynch said, "I won the consolation prize. Randy got to tour with Ozzy...and I got to teach at his mom's school." He auditioned again in 1982 to replace Brad Gillis. According to Lynch, he was hired for three days before Osbourne changed his mind and decided to go with Jake E. Lee. Lee noted that Lynch "got the gig, but only went on the road for two weeks to watch the show and never actually played with Ozzy." Lynch stated in an interview that he played soundchecks at the side of the stage on a European tour with Osbourne and Brad Gillis as part of an extensive audition. He also rehearsed with the band in Texas, but was let go by Osbourne as the band moved operations to Los Angeles. Jake E. Lee auditioned on the day of Lynch's dismissal, and while Lee admittedly didn't play well the day of the audition, he looked the part and was offered the gig. Osbourne fired Lynch on the spot in front of Lee, whom Lynch had just met. Lynch was devastated and was struggling financially in those years. He had been working as a delivery man for a liquor store and was required by his employer to have short hair. Sharon Osbourne fancied Lee's "look" over Lynch's playing, and her influence likely finalized Osbourne's decision to hire Lee"

WTF is this BS? And George with the attitude that's he's better than everyone else. You see, that's what the sign of his name means, doesn't show a band, just him. That's like him making the band calling them " "Dokken, featuring George Lynch" "Dokken W/George Lynch" Like I said, it's the same thing with "Starship: Featuring Mickey Thomas" All it is, is ego, "look at me, it's all about me, I want attention" I'm never going to a concert that features anybody, or is with anybody. You don't see it saying, "The Rolling Stones; Starring Mick Jagger" He's got a major attitude problem.

I remember being in my band at that time. I originally thought he was a Roth wannabe. However...going live on the second album, I started thinking....hold on a sec, now wait a moment, this is some real sh@#. Also don't say ya have a problem lol. I own well over 5000 CDs, and around a thousand albums. I'd say I have a serious collection problem because it's not only my life, it's a history and soundtrack. It's meaningful. I wanna run a pirate radio station but no idea how. I don't need money, just wanna hang with rockers and enjoy. My age is shown by the words Pirate Radio lol. Love your posts man. Take care brother!!! 🤟🤟🤟👏👏👏🍻🍻🍻

I saw Bulletboys for the first time in 1989. They were touring with Cinderella and winger. Cinderella of course was the headliner and they were coming through Ohio same time Bon Jovi was out supporting their new jersey album and skid row had been supporting them but had just left to support motley on their dr feelgood album so Jon had those three bands just hook up for that show and damn was that a fantastic lineup. Bulletboys, Winger, Cinderella and Bon Jovi in 1989. Great memories and thanks Jordan for helping to keep this genre of music alive 🤘🏼

Still have a very well used cassette. Spend an entire summer with my Sony Walkman with megabase plugged into my head banging with the Bullet Boys. Yet another Underrated Hairband. Their sound was completely their own at a time when all bands sounded the same. Thanks for sharing your experience :-)

Man... What a great interview! I've been a fan of Warrant for forever! They played a huge roll into my interest in music & becoming a musician at such a young age. Sadly, I never got the chance to meet Jani, but I have had the opportunities to become friends with Maddi & a few other family members of Jani Lane & I have to say, everyone of them are supper sweet & super cool people. They all love to share their personal stories & as a fan, I'm thankful for the behind the scenes stories but most of all I love how they help keep his memory alive & well!

Bless you, Maddi. I grew up in the 80s and your Dad's band was very special to me. He was a great songwriter and singer. Miss him and those days. Peace.

Hey Jordan. Just stumbled upon this after watching some Warrant stuff. Great show/interview. Your guest, Maddi Lane, is such a delightful young lady. Loved the content & your chemistry together. I was lucky enough to grow up in the 80's & still listen to the music. Jani is arguably one of the best song writers of his time & he was so much more than Cherry Pie. Maddi...I hope you honor your father everyday by listening to his creative works. I know I do. Thanks for the watch, really enjoyed it !!

I wish Jack all the best in the world and I am praying for him ! I am glad that someone is carrying on great white, but Jack is still out there !Hello, Knock , knock!! Karaoke!
