Typical for not properly working rental organs: vibrato (C3) did not work. Lonnie pushed the tilting tablet over and over again at the beginning of his solo.....however - great performance!

He is nothing compared with Akiko Tsuruga. Did you see the same number with her on the Hammond? kzbin.info/www/bejne/n37QoIJorNWph7s

The great Dr Lonnie Smith, who sadly passed away a few years ago. And now we lost Lou as well. They're jamming someplace else now.

I love their stuff but wish they'd take on a few more of these old school covers to which they add their own flare to so well

There are amazing artists who are not household names like Lindi Ortega and Rhiannon Giddens. Both are True Country and True Old Time Music. In my place they are household names!

I LOVE THIS GROUP! This IS a fun song! I'll be 73 on Wednesday. I'm a rock, blues bass player. Leyla says the lyrics, amongst the other words, are musician is an open book. I don't speak French/Haitian Creole, but I have grand sense of humour. I hear the word musician, and then I hear oh, woe, woe! In my life I've had some ladies say that, but it was usually followed with, "Woe is me, why did Iet this damned fool confuse me!" LOVED YOU, ALL, GIRLS!

I've been watching videos with Rhiannon Giddens for hours now and still have a hard time believing how LOW she can go with her singing! Bravo!
@davidj.77794 жыл бұрын
She trained originally in opera and developed her enormous range. In an interview she said her opera training is the reason she can articulate lyrics so quickly because in Italian opera especially, you have to be able to sing fast
