Great music. This video made me want to learn the hurdy gurdy. I just bought one recently.

What is the name of the tune that starts at 3:40 ?
@matthiasloibner_hurdygurdy2 жыл бұрын
it's not a tune, it's just a simple chord progression with some impro on top

Watching this in 2019 with auto translate English is nuts. Google is picking up some language in the music and translating it. A lot of ah, hello, again, and the like from the first half. Who knows the language the robot was pulling from but it makes captions on a must these days!

This is SOMETHING ELSE! ... Just see and hear how Matthias and his beautiful, instrument, knees and calves, all become ONE, in an UNEARTHLY, INSEPARABLE UNIT!

I must of watched this a dozen times. My favorite bit, his "coup de poignet" in the bit after 6:22. He makes the drone rhythmic by timing the acceleration of his hand on the crank. Brilliant.

I love the way you use the electronics to record your own accompanyment while you are playing the live show. Just fabulous!! I especially enjoy the eastern European/ middle eastern sound. Interesting transition to some really funky jazz.
