Can you add an FM transmitter to this?
@mickeythepuppy10 ай бұрын
I don't think this board has provision for audio. You'll need a Soundblaster Play! 3 and a seperate FM transmitter.

Any idea why adding my Kulp and then Visualise.. is grayed out?
@mickeythepuppy Жыл бұрын
It might not be connected. Make sure the little indicator on the controllers tab is green, or try running discovery again.

@mickeythepuppy hi thefe great video can you please tell me what voltage output your psu is set at? Is it 5v or lower?
@mickeythepuppy2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I have the psu set to 12v. The BBB requires 5v, but when you power it through the board, there is a built in regulator that steps it down.

I watched 2 video of your kulp K8 board then see this .. you obviously added to the K8 lol. ?
@mickeythepuppy2 жыл бұрын
Haha! I might have a few more! The K-8 was added last year as part of the matrix upgrade. Went from 800 pixels to over 3000, so I have it it's own controller.

Once you create and save your show, and load it to FPP, can you disconnect the LAN? Is that what "stand alone mode" means? Or will the LAN have to remain plugged in for the show to run?
@mickeythepuppy2 жыл бұрын
Yes, once the FSEQ file is loaded on the controller, and the schedule is set, it can run on its own without being connected to the LAN. Although, typically i will leave it connected to push out updates and tweaks throughout the season.
@charonnisis2 жыл бұрын
@@mickeythepuppy is it the same if you multiple kulp/bbb units? Or does it require a LAN to connect additional controllers?
@mickeythepuppy2 жыл бұрын
@@charonnisis If you are running multiple controllers, they will still need to be networked together. The easiest way to do so is through a cheap switch.

Any video or instruction how to use or connect K4-PB to k8-PB as on the website they noted “NOTE: PocketBeagles are out of stock. You MUST have one for the K8-PB to be functional” but no instruction menu is showing the K4-PB Thanks

I haven't had a chance to play with the K4, but functionally, it should be the same.

I run 8" spaced brilliant bulbs for rooflines and 3.5" spaced square nodes for windows/garages. The brilliant bulbs are plenty bright at this spacing having two sets of LEDs per bulb.

@mickeythepuppy3 жыл бұрын
You can create a schedule in FPP (the software that runs on the board) to play a sequence anytime you like.

Hi, love your video, very informative. Question for you, I bought the K8, I did every thing you show in your video, only thing I cant get it to see my lights, when I hit the test button, it doesnt do anything, I tried everything, any ideas? Thanks in advance
@mickeythepuppy3 жыл бұрын
Double check all your connections, make sure port is configured on the "Channel outputs" page. Other than that, you'd probably get a better response in the Official xLights Support Facebook group or on the xLight Zoom room.

Looks like you've got one heck of a Christmas light show set up! Sorry about the theif. I've had plenty of packages stolen...half the time it's not even stuff anyone would want like a variety of screws for laptops and stuff. It's so frustrating because you know it just got thrown away and now your project is set back a couple more days.
