Nicely done. I too built out the back of my 80. But it's not a sleeper. Compromising with ground tenting at the moment - not sold on RTT yet and wanted full-time second row. Went with 1 wing drawer and 1 large lower drawer. The other wing houses the air and water with interfaces at the tailgate. One q tho...what is that thing on the right side of the hatch? Looks like a tan box with an air QD or barbed fitting? Also, what weight rating are those drawer sliders? I just used bearings for cost and couldn't decide what weight to use. Well that and room for them was tight. But would rather use sliders on next design. Good video and overview. 👍

Thanks I'm not sold on an rtt either. I've done some pretty serious trails like the Rubicon, slick Rock and others. I don't like the idea all that weight being up there. The sleeper platform made sense for me though, I also left room and built the compartments to accommodate a dometic drawer fridge if I ever go that route. Not even sure if I'm going to like sleeping up there but we're going to find out. I built the whole unit to be flexible. I can cut things down and make adjustments as needed. Typically we do just use a tent but when I'm solo or bad weather it's nice to sleep in the rig, "lean" quick and easy camping. The thing on the right side of the hatch are you talking about up inside the compartment of the lid when the door shut with like white foam wrapped around it or you talking about something else?

@@BillyGoatsAdventures Yes. I guess it is white now that I look at more. And agree, it's the weight up high that's a problem with RTT. They are getting lighter, but too more expensive the lighter they get. Being inside in bad weather is a plus. Just noticed you have the "attic rack" as well. I do too and it's a great space saver. Keep me ground tent, spare clothes layers, tire kit, air hoses, jumper cables, ratchet straps, all kinds of things up there.

@@samjohnson9894 Yeah the attic is super handy for quick grab stuff. I like that I can get it from either side of the cab. Having to always open the swing outs to get one little thing is a little bit of a pain. I can't do the rtt like you were saying. It's too much money, too much weight. Kind of cool to have a tree house but I don't know ground tent's just fine. So the item in question wrapped in white foam is a 50 cal polished chrome bullet bottle opener. A friend of mine gave a group of us to commemorate completion of the Rubicon trail. It's engraved with all that information. You want me to throw up a short video of it?

@@BillyGoatsAdventures That sounds interesting. Yeah do a video of it, or cover it conjunction with something else in a video. Hope to get swing outs one day. Bought all the stuff to make them a while back except...the hinges. Kinda stuck there. For security reasons it's been a PITA finding something that'll work. About the biggest reason to buy them outright is for secure and functional hinges. lol edit:said "swing outs", meant gull wings - rear-quarter window gull wings.

(Landlocked93) - Nicely done. Hilarious we use the same brand engine room batts(Interstate), same nylon wire loom, and same terminal covers. BUT... ...can you dash-select either battery to crank the truck or either battery to power devices inside? lol (presumably you can with that setup) Brother from another mother. 👍 All the love. Sub'd

Search online or eBay, you can pick up factory authorized reprints and if your lucky you will land a set of originals on eBay, little more spendy but they are built better and the paper is way nicer

Apologies for the late response I didn't see your message, I used a quarter inch socket and a quarter inch air ratchet and that ratcheted enough to pull draw the bolt off the front

That is the main Grandview lift on the top part of sugar and spice dropping into main street and lower main Street. Put the video away because when we dropping a lower main street it's super steep and typically were already going pretty fast

In my second AC clutch video I talk a little more about that. I used a pneumatic ratchet with a 10 mm socket quarter inch drive and the pneumatic action broke the bolt loose no problem
