You’re right, this is definitely not the song that someone should listen before having listened to other stuff from their discography. It’s a masterpiece for fans who know all their work by heart already and know this one stands out in particular, there is no other song like this in their entire discography. There are longer songs like The Path, but not as complex as Sleepwalking Past Hope. For people new to HIM, I would always suggest the Love Metal album. ❤
