38:00 Utah Uri in Texas came up a lot. Give third parties control of generation and no liability for not being required to work when needed, seems unwise. Old school vertically integrated utilities knew that the public would hold them accountable and they’d have mud on their face. They’d have been prepared. The newer model is lacking. 1:08:00 Yes yes yes. Dan is so correct. And Levar is spot on that generation decisions impacts. French is wise. Considering energy corridors, ROW across states, planning to finish 10+ years prior to the needs. Recommendations. 1:13:00 2:20 Non RTO has process. Central planning agency 2:30:00 Break

@@chriscockrell9495 I pay roughly 16 cents/kwh. Maybe half goes to generation. If they can transmit for under 5-6 cents, you are saving money. My goal is getting access to cheaper power, not spending more. If it's not cheap, people won't want to trade in their gas furnaces.

To address global warming, we need to electrify transportation and heating/cooling, and replace all fossil fuel generation with renewables. Now you can believe what you want, but if renewables are cheaper, your task is to make sure nothing stands in the way. My main point is, you job is going to get a lot bigger, so don't dawdle.

I would love to know how to participate in accession number 20220405-5210, a Petition for Declaratory Order by King Mountain Upton Wind LLC for the right to continue to operate as an EWG. Filed on 5th April and an expedited request was made for June 3rd. Two weeks later and nothing seems to have happened. Is this usual for a simple petition? The process appears completely opaque. Calling up, the secretary said only registered lobbyists can speak to anyone.

Am horrified that the long term environmental impact (both the green house gas load, and the immediate issues of gas leaks, oil spills, pipeline invasion of wetlands, and abandonment of old treaties) are not in their purview. This is an agency from a very different era that must be updated to meet todays issues or abolished while we create a new one that looks towards an independent, renewable energy future.

FERC is only now acting because 2 landowners from PA refused to give up and ended up spending 1/2 million dollars in legal fees to have their Due Process claims heard by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. For 50 years FERC has been denying landowners' Due Process through the use of tolling orders. You wreck Americans lives FERC.

What I really wished the Federal government would do is make solar energy more affordable. The fact that there is such a high upfront cost to install Solar Power in homes has deterred homeowners from making that original investment. The break even on such an investment takes too many years. I believe the way to decentralize the utilities and power providers are to have homes built already be installed with Solar panels on them along with grid tied inverters. See how the excess energy produced by the solar panels on the homes (after usage in homes) can be relayed to the grid. I don't think this is a far fetched system to implement either. "Make this happen" Chairman Chatterjee.

Very ambitious order indeed. Competition is great for the consumer, or is it? Will the reduce cost actually be seen month in and month out? The so-called regional organized power operators if not regulated with a fine tooth comb will find loopholes to take advantage of the Order (#841) and its benefits to them while circumventing the savings to the customer that Order #841 is originally intended for. While I appreciate your fervor in implementing such an order, power suppliers are making Billions off the way the current system works; not by following the rules but by understanding them thoroughly and finding ways (loopholes) on how to bypass them as a whole with pinpoint discretion. Chairman Chatterjee, I have had a bad experience with the whole sale energy market and this has forced me to look into FERC and how it governs the current Power markets.
