@Affordaplane Adventures by Terry Adair - Is there any way you can get me in touch with Jim? I am wanting to start my build soon but I'd like to make the wings larger... would love to see if he has plans for those wings (or even just data).

Something I was wondering alot why can't you design the ailrons that it can be lower on the wing won't it make landing better?

Ow man, I wish I lived in the US AND have some money to spend on this. Imagine being able to fly on a "budget" and no license required. I still would take a bunch of lessons but no mandatory license and all.

It didn't seem to me the landing was very hard. What exactly went wrong, too high landing speed?

I think you're overthinking it dude r19 on the inside of the aircraft make a internal wall and you should be good and as far as you know you're going to get the the hue from the heat off of the muffler just like a Harley but other than that I mean I don't see it getting that hot

Alright. Love the build. But let not get dramatic. Cops aren't going to do shit about a ultralight in drive. Unless u drive it down the street

Increase the pitch in your prop and get the static rpm correct. Over revving will create a lean condition which would showup on your egt gauges. Get your rpm right, and mixture and make sure your oil mix is correct and also check fan belt and blades on the cooling fan. Usually high cht is a cooling issue which is blocked airflow, the fan not functioning properly or not enough 2 stroke oil to reduce friction internally. Don’t fly it until you figure out why they are so high it will seize! Remember the pitch or load on the engine changes the lean or rich condition. An unloaded prop not enough pitch will lean it out because the carbs see more airflow but the fuel flow stays the same. Max throttle is max fuel delivered. Over pitched is just as detrimental. So get the static rpm correct on the ground, check the fan and belt and get it figured out. It’s much easier to figure it out on the ground than being forced to land with a ruined engine..

My two cents, no trying to start conflict. Changing airframe design, would you want to test flight characteristics with a rc plane first?

I find all of this interesting since I'd like to possibly fly a Pt 103 in the future but I'd like to see this build done per spec's just to see it work. It's hard to jump into the thing being changed so drastically in every part of the build, I understand this gentleman is one who's educated in these matters so I like it but I've got to go see the original built w/o changing the wings or other surfaces. Thanks for the video, this one will be good after I've seen what it should be. peace
