should I get ascendent shards or 5 apex predators from mara sov I have a godroll shiny edge transit so is apex worth it even? based on this video it seems not but Im a warlock so Im not sure if the damage numbers would be similar for me I dont play that much

I also wanted to add a little something something myself, the Revitalizing Blast artifact mod, "Causing damage with a Solar ability weakens Champions and bosses for a short duration." this also applies when dealing solar weapon damage from *your own* Well, I'm the primary wellock of my group so using this i can keep bosses weakened during damage while putting out damn good numbers myself, ofc the weaken from t.cann would be better but like, its kinda just free weaken. && izi swapping with apex would almost def beat out 1k even in my use case but, I'll take lazy + good enough dps. I see all the comments correcting other mistakes, and i see your new vid, i liked this one more bc the dmg totals at the end. even if 1k isnt better than the other weapons on its own i still think its fun and typically good enough. so far the only cases ive found where 1k is just too bad to use is most of pantheon (void surge) and ofc any time a teammate is using dbreath

apex/edge transit are always combo'd with witherhoard/izanagi's or some sort of passive dps rotation and then a well with some sort of damage debuff. testing their damage without these things doesn't give anyone an accurate representation of what these guns are capable of. an example of this is the fact that you are not using one of edge transit's perks, envious assassin. You are manually reloading after your mag dumps, but in any single dps scenario, you will have around 16-20 shots in it so you wont need to reload at all in those 10 seconds that bait and switch is active. For apex predator, you have reconstruction, which will activate and reload your weapon to 1-2 rockets by the time you get off your next rotation of weapons. (This may vary depending on what passive dpsing dealing weapon you are using. Izanagi takes a little longer to use, so 2 rockets will probably have been reconstructed versus if you use witherhoard). by reloading consistently like you're doing, the gun isn't actually doing what it's meant to be doing. 1k is an exception to this because it's a single weapon dps strat. People don't swap to other weapons because it won't use all it's ammo in a single dps phase (most of the time).

Hey! This one is definitely better, but you might have a misunderstanding of what ideal dps is. For example, an envious bait and switch grenade launcher gets out pretty much all of its ammo faster than 1k by a decent margin which also allows you to use other weapons such as fusion rifles/snipers/shotguns for that additional damage. For apex & gl damage, you'd realistically be using it in a swap rotation and have at least an auto reload method like marksman dodge on hunters, rain of fire on warlocks, etc. If you'd like to test realistic dmg as well, try adding in weapons you would normally do damage with in a rift or something if you dont want to proc radiant or have a well dmg buff so you can see how much you realistically can do in a phase. Great job in working towards creating a more accurate/better video, hope to see more :) Edit: Okay so looking at more of your videos you definitely are familiar with this which surprised me on the testing videos.

The only take I see from this is 1K Voice is a good Lazy DPS weapon but needs no other ally to be scorching the boss, similar to Dragon's Breath. Optimal rotation with Apex/Edge Transit using something like Izanagi's Burden or the double-shot Void GL from spire would still out-damage 1K Voice in total damage

1KV is also extremely dependent on what teamates are running since half of its damage is tied to ignitions. Dont forget that little fact. 1 person using Dragons Breath and all the scorch/ignitions are their damage now.

So here's the thing right? You didn't refresh B&S with either of the weapons so obviously the numbers weren't as good. You only had B&S procced for like 1/3 of the whole damage phase which is super not good. It's not that hard to keep B&S procced if you weren't using dual GL's for some reason. Apex would've easily trumped both of these if you had put reserve mods on and refreshed B&S, but you didn't even break 1M which is a problem. Trying to spin this as either of these weapons not being as good as 1K when you didn't even do the damage testing right just baffles me.

1k is all about blowing your load and ease of use. My kinda weapon.

Dude your apex and edge transit rotations were horribly unoptimal beyond just not reproccing bns. this is a really bad and misleading comparison. 1k is all about reserve dumping your heavy the whole time, whereas a recon bns apex and an autoloading bns edge are for rotations, which you didn’t use correctly at allllll after the first proc on each Edit: typo fix

damage is not complicated. db dmg bug celest 2x surge 1x solar and a simple fusion dragons breath swap
