Robbie Coltrane was the first person the wee TS Queen Mary charity team thought of to invite as a patron. Especially after his enthusiasm of all things mechanical in the "B Road Britain" television series about motoring around the country in amazing cars. But the consensus was he is a very busy gentleman and way above our pay-grade, even though nobody gets paid to do this! But the Big Man said YES and much celebration all round. Mr Coltrane has been a wonderful ambassador for the charity ever since. Thankyou sir for the kindness, generosity and good humour.

Best of luck guys. Am I right in remembering a strange ruling that, when she was sold by CalMac, she could not leave Scotland until the Lion Rampants were removed from her funnel?
