Are you sure you are a locals ? Spend 40 more years ; and do you know who John Jay is ? Clenden is a hot dogger .
@grassrootstv2 күн бұрын
Yeah, Bill. First met John Jay camping in the Mammoth parking lot in the 70's. Was Don Brolin's film loader in the late 80's. Clendenon beat me up on his damn Ski Deck's rotating bump carpet at the Aspen Club.

Yet once again many Aspen residence won’t consider a 4 lane entrance that “would destroy Aspen’s character”. As a 40 year residents of Aspen, El Jebel and Snowmass Village, “that ship has sailed”. As with the S Curves & Castle Creek Bridge, we can no longer kick the can down the road. Time to get real and act, no need for yet another “study”! All parties are affected by the current ridiculous traffic impacts. Clearly a four lane straight shot won’t solve the overcapacity issue, but what other realistic solutions are out there? Now, 28:06 as in life, we are all paying the for price for inaction. Good luck in the future if the continued “analysis paralysis” continues……its going to become a crisis scenario of which there will be no “planned solutions”. “Good Times In Aspen”……ya, maybe…..until it’s not! We are now paying the price for procrastination.

It's interesting how much things have flipped since then. The fact that he's talking about things that would be considered censorship, in today's political climate Censorship that he has fought for then and fought against now. You gotta respect him for that.He stays true to his values

He's now part of a Republican presidential-elect's cabinet to be, and he's just as critical of the same things as he was of Bush in 2005.

He’s been on this quest all his life it seems, and like he recently said he finally has a chance to help fix the problem. This long kept semi secret about corporate insiders running the departments that are supposed to regulate their industries has to be exposed and the system revamped to finally serve on the side of the people and not the Corporations.

Those commenting on his voice (spasmodic dysphonia aka laryngeal dystonia) , it is a progressive neurological disease. That’s why he sounds worse now. I have it and it’s gotten worse since a diagnosis 7 years ago.

During the 1950's, my skiing was limited to New York and New England with a lot of it at Dartmouth College. Going to Aspen and Sun Valley was totally different with long runs and open slopes. The new ski area at Squaw valley was awesome, but I liked Aspen better. Thanks for the memories.

I’m gonna guess it’s due to this being like a cable access show but the camera quality looks like it’s from the eighties. I’m guessing it was like a home video camera but even that I feel like was better than this. Maybe it’s the lightening it almost looks like a filter or like the color correction or exposure or whatever is off. That’s not the main thing here obviously it’s just funny as I was like the camera looks like a home video from the eighties.
@johnstrom591022 күн бұрын
This is just pre-HD. This is how a lot of stuff looked back then. It's just hard to remember with everything being HD now. But yeah, it probably is like a "cable access" show.

My first time skiing in 1974 when I was 14, I borrowed the skis, like 1950's skis with a binding that had a spring that went around the heel of the old lace up ski boots, lol, I did good, a natural, the next time I had modern skis and boots. Skiing is amazing.

Coming across videos like this, or interviews with Ron Paul from the '90s, kinda makes me wonder what boundary-pushing politicians are out there right now from whom we're not hearing much because the media stifles them too much.
