I think there is just a couple. We had such a great time in Belgium! Highly recommend - especially to go during Fugare or any of the other pigeon conventions in Europe. So much bigger than any we have in the USA.

Hello Jon, Thanks for your comment :) Mike & I own & run the Longhorn Classic One Loft Race. We don't currently raise youngbirds to send to OLRs, but had a special situation this year. One of our unclaimed 2023 birds, that we're using this year for GPS tracking, laid an egg and it hatched, so we decided to ship the baby to a late hatch race. That's why just the one little guy in the box. We put a sponge in the partically lidded cup with just a bit of water, so it can't spill and get the box wet. We think the orange allows the bird to get a bit of moisture too. We didn't really need both the orange and the water cup, but I'm a "helicopter mom" so I went overboard with "my baby". LOL - Nora

Hello :) Young birds are susceptible to several diseases commonly known as "young bird disease" and they are pretty much always around. We vaccinate against several of these and we take a lot of steps to help the birds build immunity. Glad you haven't had any issues in your loft!

Birds are not overcrowded - we pushed them into a small section of the loft to make them easy to catch in the video 🙂

Yes, we like the boards for floors. Give the birds a warmer cozy feel under their feet. We have both warm and cold weather during the season.

Breeders paid a perch fee when they sent the birds at the beginning of the season. The entry fee is due before the 1st race which will be about mid-November.

Glad you like the videos! If we don't pull flights, some of the birds may naturally molt them right at final race time. We want all the birds to have all their flights for the races, to make if fair for all.
