A forgotten factor for early warning systems seems to be the legislation of countries, as Franz Jedlicka explains in his recent podcast episode and an article on LinkedIn. The EU has also become a successful peace project because nearly all member states have a legal ban on ALL forms of violence (which is not the case in most of the other countries in the world). From a peace psychology perspective it would be important that Belgium, the Czech Republic, Italy and Slovakia establish a legal ban of child corporal punishment, like every other member state has done it.

Peace researcher Franz Jedlicka suggests that a legal ban of ALL forms of violence is a sign of a culture of peace. He has examined the legislation of countries worldwide in his "Culture of Violence Scale".

Very interesting. We will share that in the German speaking countries.

The Triple Nexus should always recommend a legal ban of child corporal punishment (in countries where it is not yet existing), because violence in childhood is one of the root causes of wars (maybe THE root cause).
