i was driving on my way to see my gf in my lowered 2000 prelude and there was a long and wide speedbump and at the end of it a deep line/whole and my car hit pretty hard about 2 weeks later which was yesterday it started leaking oil and a bit of coolant pretty bad and the check engine light came on i think my oil pan is fucked 😪
@Kronic4205 ай бұрын
nooooooo! 🥲 I hate to hear that. hopefully you got it figured out 🙏 I bought my prelude from someone that did the same thing, first thing I did after getting it running again was put it back to stock height 😂

Awesome stuff man. Going to try this. Tried it on some scrap trying to butt join them together. Had minimal luck. Filler just moved around I guess from the flame mostly heating it and pushing it and then started to melt the edge of the pipe being I stayed in the same spot for too long trying to get the rod to melt. Otherwise I’m going to try gasless mig with aluminium wire, if that fails going to try my luck at tig and empty my wallet.

Just now seeing this, which path did you end up going bro? I just bought my first tig last week, laid down a few beads and it's really hard! Super fun though. I'm excited to use the tig instead of brazing rod from now on 😂

@@Kronic420 spoke to a guy at a local Welding supply shop, mentioned that the brazing rod I was using was cheap and just a tig filler rod and showed me a product you guys have in the u.s. Had better luck with it as it is for a basic repair job on my current intercooler piping. Got some info on on different ways to tackle it but ultimately I am also looking at having to invest in a tig. I do have a friend that has a welder that does tig but will just have to buy the argon gas and give it a whirl. Look forward to seeing some more videos of your projects though. Keep it up.

Thank you for posting. I was wondering if this could be done

@@danielbrewster8579 hey bro! I ended up getting an ac/dc tig welder and it's the best thing ever, lmao. I'll be posting up some videos soon on my tig setup and building a custom intake (version 2) for my turbo prelude. hope you've been well 🤙
@Kronic4203 ай бұрын
@@aikidokamks hey no worries! you're very welcome, thanks for stopping by. After getting a tig welder, I would definitely recommend just saving for a used ac/dc setup over using the melting rods. it's very hard to get pie cuts to stick without melting surrounding pieces, I did an intake for my del sol and it was a nightmare! 😂 In a pinch though, this will work!

would this work with data log thru bluetooth module? also is the virtual dyno app free?
@Kronic4209 ай бұрын
Virtual Dyno is free 👍 I haven't tried it through blue tooth yet, but I imagine it would still work if you can save the data log and go through the steps in this video. Keep me posted on how it goes! I'm interested

I can't get mine out cause the damn exhaust is in the way and it's stuck on the subframe.

Hope that you got it taken care of! I know it sucks having to take everything else off but it's just part of the process. Reach out if you need any help!

same damn problem!!! How did you get that bolt out? it's too small of a space to get my torch wrench to reach it i've been trying to find that out for a few days now.

Hell ya, I’m going to try it right now… the last time I took the pan off the engine was out of the car so it was easy, this time the engine is in the car and I’ve been messing with it for an hour 🤬
@Kronic420 Жыл бұрын
That's exactly how my experience was 😂 Any luck?
