I've never had a baitcasting reel with a drag that requires a turn of the handle to work. I think your drag is just sticking. Need to clean the pads dry of oil. The things you are saying about setting the drag don't make sense to me. Also try sharpening your hooks from time to time through out the day. I use a small Japanese water stone.

Please help I have a 9 foot x42 inch wide plastic boat it is a bass tracker canton 2 two man boat I won’t to put a minnkota 45 bow mount trolling motor on it I can mount it with toggle bolts because I can’t reach the washers or nuts can it be done and explain what would happen

I surf cast spoons and jig which are 3/4oz to 1oz with 30# braid and 11' rod .....rod lure weight 1/2oz to 4oz .....Top objective is distains casting..... would the Tatula 200 be a good match?

Ive been using the previous model for years for inshore, only took it apart twice and regreased, just run it under tap water after every use, still smooth as butter til these days. The best cheap reel in the market..

@@canuckoutdoors9164 no, I caught it and notice something red on its belly. Thought it was a bobber, but it was a ned rig hook that it swallowed probably a long time ago. I took it out. Came out pretty effortlessly.
