As a flute player, I feel personally attacked. Also, flutes aren't supposed to be held completely parallel, if we hold them at a slight angle the air gets into the instrument a bit better

I was once at a restaurant and there was the group of theatre kids singing my shot so loudly (I had no idea who these kids were) so I just subtly started singing along (it was very hard not to scream but my mom was there and I didn’t want her to yell at me) and during the “I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory” part the kids went silent and were whispering to eachother like “idk the words, back me up here!!” And I knew all the words bc I’m Hamilton obsessed and I kept singing without realizing they all noticed me-

I still don't know where that one audio is from 😂🤣😆. But the last one is very accurate to my choir. Anyone interested, just look up Southern California Children's Chorus here. The children's version of professional choir for kids who are too young to be in adult professional choir but get invited to sing with Eric Whitacre, and all sorts of professional events....I loved it and am upset I moved to North Carolina.

I remember locking my knees by accident during my first fundamentals and I fell backwards (we were ding backwards marching) and my section leaders and the drum majors and my bd and the brass instructor came running towards me like a bunch of wasps I was a Freshman...not disabled or stupid. Back 5 feet away please then it happened to a freshie this year and I walked them inside and helped them put ice and a bandage on his forehead

So because we rehearse during Seminar the choir rehearses in the band room (I'm in band and choir) and me and one of the other band/choir kids (who's also one of the drum majors) have to tell the tenors and bases not to move the chairs or stands or they will face an army of pissed off band kids 😁

Unpopular opinion here: I don’t think it’s right for a tech person to complain that actors take all there time up because like all actors have to sign up and fully be committed to a show, a tech person has to do the same and I’m sure they sign up and it’s a choice, but as an actor I can say we work our butts offs, so do the people who manage tech, crew and directors so equal efforts of all parts

As a fellow bassoonist every year I get to see my bassoon depressed during marching season when I have my saxophone and rarely pick my big brown bassoon up. As of right now it is in the corner of my room collecting dust while I pull out my sax to practice our marching music.
