Can one complete such doploma online if he's outside Australia? If yes, can he then get a visa and be able settle in ? Or it's gonna be hard to find a job as a freshly admitted lawyer who still lives outside ?

Thank you so much to this wonderful Panel. It was very insightful. I started law as a mature student too and took many years off and on whilst being a mum and wife and divorce, but I got there in the end. I've graduated law now and have a few more subjects left until I finish college of law. I feel encouraged by this video. Thanks again and I wish everyone all the best in their future.

Hi, I have a question.. If I do my Juris Doctor from Qld, can I do my PLT in VIC? If not how can I become registered lawyer in VIC

😂😂😂 and do well in Contracts
@vanshikasaini3068 Жыл бұрын
Can I apply for PLT after completing my Master's of justice and criminology from Australia? Or do I need to pursue jd after that?
@quindanning Жыл бұрын
You’d need to do a JD, or you can save some money and do a graduate entry LLB instead.
@vanshikasaini3068 Жыл бұрын
@@quindanning if you don't mind, can you please let me know a bit about graduate entry program?
@quindanning Жыл бұрын
@@vanshikasaini3068 graduate entry means they recognise your previous bachelors degree and apply that towards the electives you’d ordinarily need to do. That means you can get an LLB in 3 years rather than 4. Even if there isn’t an explicit “graduate entry” program, check the unit handbook and see how much credit you can get towards the degree with your previous one.
@quindanning Жыл бұрын
@@vanshikasaini3068 A JD is also a good option but it’s harder to get a Commonwealth Supported Place so the tuition is more than twice if you’re on full fees. LLB on the other hand is far more likely to be subsidised

Uh huh. And does ex Judge Robert Hesketh (who was struck off for expense claim fraud) give lectures on ethics now? Gotta love that little smirk he gives at 0:32 when he tells us how long he has been involved in the business of law. Mmm, whatever does that mean, we wonder...
