thank for this. My parents grew up in the government boarding schools as they beat and spanked them for speaking the Navajo language. My parents were too scared to even teach us children so now we rely on these as there are still no "official" Navajo language at least that I know of available on language apps. Still too hard for dem. lol. Ahéhee'!

Hello:-) I love jewelry firstly, and I’ve become obsessed with Navajo jewelry recently. I am excited to learn all I can and you are a most knowledgeable gentleman. Thank you for sharing. I’m also researching Mel Tsosie as I came across a lovely turquoise pendant by him, except I’m coming up empty researching him… lol.. Is there any other way I can find his information? I agree with this but would only add that something’s monetary value and their value to the owner are two different things. Just because something didn’t cost a lot or isn’t worth a lot doesn’t necessarily lessen its significance to the owner. I do appreciate your knowledge and willingness to share.
