It really is great but if she loves it as much as Ben you'll get a row if you ever go out without her. Thanks for watching

I used to take my son on the back when he was about 10 he lived it. I don’t know what gear you have for Ben but I know Helite have a child’s motorcycle air vest, might be worth a look.

@@SouthWest-jj8yu Thanks for watching and the suggestion. I'll definitely look into that. It is quite difficult to get suitably sized ppe even when cost isn't a factor.

I have to agree. When I was moving on my my "First Real Bike", an old Suzuki GS500F with the re-worked suspension, I test rode an F900XR & I was absolutely....unmoved. I tried to like it & I was really impressed with the mouse wheel/screen, but after that I was just bored with it. Apart from the drop in power getting back on my old GS500 was preferable (don't forget, I put in upgraded springs/fork oil & an R6 rear shock so it handled like an absolute weapon) What sealed it was the price, at anything like reasonable spec it was eye wateringly expensive. For A LOT LESS money I ended up with a Tracer 9GT & never looked at BMW again. The Tracer definitely does have the "character" that you often mention is lacking in the BMW & with the tracer it comes from that incredible CP3 engine.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I would have either of the bikes that you mention over the N900. I only had it for a day and after only doing about 120 miles (about 80 of them on a motorway or freeway) my ears were still ringing the day after.

I turns our that mine had been digitally restricted. It's something they do to all the loner bikes at that dealership apparently because they've had too many instances of people wringing the necks of the loners. Even with that the bike I had needed a new back tyre because the guy that had it before me...let's say....used the handling to its fullest potential. The screen is a disaster though. The noise is worse than many naked bikes I've ridden.

Like you I had the 900XR as a loner last year. I liked the engine and handling but the buffeting off that screen was terrible. Speed wise it’s listed, depending where you look 0-60 at 3.2 to 3.6 seconds at the low end faster than the GS 1250. The one I had did feel quite peppy, fun to ride but wouldn’t be for me either.

The tyre pressure monitors have a sealed battery that eventually needs changed but it’s a battery sealed inside silicon so not an easy change. Most folk just get new monitors they cost about 118 at places like motorworks who say better to get an alternative made by some company just not bmw badged but half the price. Still works out at 130 for the pair plus the fitting so got to ask if it’s worth it. Nice video though👍

Hi. Thanks for watching. That's great information thanks. At that price I'll leave it. I reckon I'll manage fine without them and put up with the yellow triangle popping up on the dash.

Great road used to go through the Dalveen Pass, found this road when the Dalven was closed a few years ago. Much prefer this road, the Menock Pass ride through to the A76 at the other side. Along the valley where the wild campers were there have been ongoing problems with rubbish we passed through not long after lockdown and as well as rubbish scattered all over there were several piles of rubbish probably over head height. It has been a long term problem and if you google it you can find news reports going back 10 years.

Thanks very much for coming along. Unfortunately you're right. There are too many people who have lived in towns and cities all of their lives and either don't realise or don't care that there isn't an infrastructure in the country to pick up after them. Probably the same people that can't be bothered taking their shopping trolleys back.

Sorry for the coughing fit. I've got a virus which the Dr says is sometimes called "the 10 week cough". I'm 5 weeks in and totally fed up of it
