Great effort from the volunteers. They made a really good, important match possible. Macc are now 16 points ahead of the rest. Guiseley have two games in hand, but they are not "points in the bag". The 42 match record for this league is 102 points, Silkmen are on course to eclipse it.

I know right this time last year u was lower than 5th I'm sure. Need to look at ur team and think are we Good enough for how much we spend on wages. I'll tell you that one now, no, money can buy talent but not heart ur players have no heart or ability to play on a grass pitch, once u go up not one player from that team will stay mark my word there just not good enough the league above is tough.

Looked like a foul on the keeper from where I was, but very few fans in the Star Lane seemed to object strongly to it so I thought perhaps it was legit. Ultimately we did the right response, put it behind us and got on with winning.

Best squad in the league - yes. No 2 like greased lightning. They only won at Hyde because yet again the poor standard of ref in this league destroyed a fairly honest game.
