My 02 2500HD had the doorman oil cooler lines fail about a month after install causing 5 spun bearings. For 2k I replaced all the internals including making my 6.0 a 6.6(402CID) stroker with a forged bottom end, sloppy stage 2 cam, I ported the cylinder heads and have 11 to 1 compression. Many many hours of labor that I had to do but it was honestly the most rewarding experience I ever had. Many told me and I believed it myself that the engine was toast but it made hearing it run again that much more special. to anyone that is looking to tear into their engine, print out the table of the factory tolerances and the torque specs to keep with you wherever you working on it, it'll make life a lot easier.

At least the colors are close. Friend's field truck has green red and white doors and panels and just looks weird to me LOL.

Dude I gotta say I think your dedication and dream for this old square body is impeccable. When I first saw this truck I thought there was no was saving this thing and now it looks so sharp. I’m working on an old 1976 square body and it’s a 4x4. Right now it’s a frame and a motor but shortly it will turn into a beast like yours!

I believe back in those days,you had a prospector,which was a standard dodge truck. But the power wagon was probably a more expensive option. Probably a bigger motor,bigger axles,lower gears. I was born too late.
@user-qq4sk8ec2b9 күн бұрын
360 and 400 are power wagon

How is idle while in gear? is a torque convertor change needed ?
@harleystillwell751918 күн бұрын
It chops the same while in gear at a stop. This cam is advertised as factory converter friendly and it’s fine it doesn’t push through the brakes. definitely shakes you around though lol

Sorry for the critisism
