Was at this show, went around 2 great lakes in a rented car and when i got home to ottawa i was unemployed, and broke but worth it. That was my 5th for that tour. Lots of stories for the ages.

In Mick's 2010 letter (written in response to Keith's autobiography) he tells us that Keith refused to let the Stones play this song in concert. He'd had nothing to do with the writing or recording of it. It was all the two Micks. I saw the Stones several times from 1978 to 1994 and they never played this song. And I've listened to all their official live recordings that were put out as LPs, as well as many bootlegs, and never once did I hear this song. Wikipedia says, "It was performed live for the first time in Columbus, Ohio, and then at many of the other shows on the band's A Bigger Bang Tour in 2006." I would never have known that if it wasn't for Wiki. I love them but I think they should have packed it in 30 years ago. I have a real problem with old people playing rock 'n' roll. It's a youth genre; it's not for fossils.

I believe if Mick and Keith gave Taylor the credits on the albums he deserved, he still was in the band. He sure spiced up some older Stones songs.

Trivia- though he got co-writing credits, Keith did not play guitar on the studio recording… it was Mick and Mick.

This can actually be found on the “Four Flicks” DVD in complete. It’s tricky to upload this official stuff because it gets taken down and could potentially strike my channel 🤙

Mick Taylor was confined and boxed in by Mick Jagger on this version. The original was a million times better and Charlie was loving it more because he came alive and rose to the occasion on those drums. A fantastic rock song watered down here in 2013. Man….

Add Mick Taylor and it's 1969 again. What a huge loss for the Stones.

Just off the top of my head, heartbreaker here has Keith playing the intro and the one on Brussels late show (the one you’re referring to) has the intro played by Billy.

To be a fly on that wall! Wow could you imagine being at that rock n roll party? I need a freakin time machine like yesterday damn it!
This is a perfect Stones piece - Mick, Keith, and Charlie are white hot here. Keith has the best rhythm ever. I go to every show on every tour. The last 25 years has been a whirlwind of high emotions. Have met them all. Even got to talk to Charlie a couple times. This is Greek tragedy that it wasn’t re - released on the album. If you can’t listen to the whole video right now, at least listen to the last minute and a half.
