Triple Crown Safe Starch is the basis of my feed program. And i do add lots of water, and the supplements to the soup. My Tractor Supply store is the only place that carries Triple Crown, and ive never even seen the Stress Free or Grass Forage 🤔🤔🤔

Thanks for using our safe starch. It depends on the TSC location as to exactly what they stock, are able to special order in or don't have access to. Contact our company if you have any questions. www.triplecrownfeed.com

I was hoping your video would clearly explain how to measure the horse's length, which is my problem at the moment. Yes, unlike many videos, you explain that you start measuring the length at the center of the chest. But it's not at all clear where you end. Do you wrap the measuring tape around the butt of the horse, more-or-less to the butt crack, so that you end in the center of their behind, just as you start in the center of their chest? I would love to know this and can't find anywhere. 🙂

Let me start by saying I love Trilple Crown and have been feeding it for a long time but … Seriously? Change the water three times a day? Maybe if they are in stalls 24 hours a day but out in pasture with 100 gallon water tubs that’s not realistic. And this advice given without specifying whether they are stalled all the time or allowed to be horses gives all the newbie horse owners one more thing to over analyze and drive people who know what they are doing even more crazy with their ideas they read and find in Facebook.
@triplecrownfeed2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Yes this is referring to her changing the water buckets in her barn. Remember this is what she prefers to do, there are many other opinions and ideas to help horses in the heat including turning out to graze at night, giving horses a quick hose down, not necessarily dumping troughs in the paddocks, but at the least giving them a quick examination and cleaning out any scum and having plenty of shaded areas for horses to go. There is nothing wrong with her recommendation as clean, cool water is preferred.

Thanks for replying. I thought stalled horses was what she meant but for all those newbies who sit on Facebook, etc all day instead of being outside with their horses and won’t listen to someone with 30+ years experience your reply may help if they run across this. Love Triple Crown!

Perhaps you should have SHOWN that you measured the weight of the bucket first.
@triplecrownfeed3 жыл бұрын
Diane, thanks so much for your feedback. Showing that a cup or bucket needs to be weighed first so you can subtract that weight from the scale after adding feed or using "tare" if your scale has that, will give an accurate measurement of the weight of the feed.

My local extension office isn't very helpful. I can't get any return calls or emails from them even for my simple question of "do you guys do hay testing?" I would be very interested in knowing how to calculate approximate pasture intakes for my horses. Is there any resource you could direct me to? Thanks! :)
@triplecrownfeed3 жыл бұрын
There are some articles that help to give an estimate of how much pasture horses can consume, check this one out and hope it helps- ker.com/equinews/calculating-pasture-and-forage-consumption-of-horses/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CAs%20a%20general%20rule%20of,%2D15%20kg)%20of%20pasture.

Why not just tell us how many pounds in a cup. Why not just keep it simple since we all have a measuring cup in our house. So disappointed in your video!
@triplecrownfeed3 жыл бұрын
Sorry that the video did not cover that topic, but we can certainly answer that with just a few clicks on our website, or a phone call or email to learn more. This density chart provides the weight of our feeds per a 1-quart scoop- www.triplecrownfeed.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/DensityPage_090920_web.pdf
@nancygiacchetti4551 Жыл бұрын
Donienne, I just discovered it’s not as simple as just saying how many pounds are in a cup. It depends on what type of feed you are feeding because they can vary dramatically. I learned this the hard way when I was looking for the right measure to use and discovered I needed to place tape with an arrow to the top to indicate how much feed my horse should get to equal the weight I was looking for.
@epona9166 Жыл бұрын
She didn't tell you how many pounds are in a cup because it varies by the density of the feed. There isn't just one number. She addresses this at about the 3:00 mark in the video, which you seem to have missed, you're in such a hurry to be critical.
