I fitted it to a DJI Osmo action 4. Straight away, it does NOT work out of the water, the 150 degree view thing above water is nonsense as it looses distance focus after .5 meters away.

Same question here… Is it possible to remove the bayonet adapter and install a flip adapter for a Nauticam CMC?
@HeikoMunk
@HeikoMunk 11 ай бұрын
I have the exact same problem. Unfortunately I think the bayonet is not removable. It´s unbelievable that Nauticam did not yet think of a Bayonet II to M67 adaptor to allow use of the flip adaptor. Or at least a flip adaptor with a Bayonet II mount. Although I think that would again cost more than 280 Euros...

Thanks for the informative review. Question: Is it possible to remove the bayonet mount adapter from the front of the port? Is it screwed on and removable, or is it an intrinsic component of the port and removing it isn't possible. Thank you! 🙂

Awesome video. 🎉. Does it work with the wide lens 6' dome port? And also does the adapter increase the distance between the 2 lenses? Thanks
@FOTOGRAFITnordic
@FOTOGRAFITnordic Жыл бұрын
Yes and yes... but...!! * When using it with a wideangle you need to be very careful not to bend the adaptor in any way. A wideangle is not forgiving if it is not aligned with the port. (you´ll then get really blurry corners) * And the tiny space between the port and lens does not have to be too big a problem when you have a smaller camera with zoom... with macro wetlenses it is insignificant, but with wideangle, you might get a big of vignetting, and have to zoom in a bit. - but as you say, it is a good system, being able to FLIP... it often enables you to actually get the picture, rather than not. Happy shooting :-)

Hello, have you tried using regular, single use batteries for this strobe? if so, how long would it last? thanks
@FOTOGRAFITnordic
@FOTOGRAFITnordic Жыл бұрын
Hey... yes, but many years ago... it is not something that I would ever do. No point, when you already have a pile of rechargeables ;-) But my answer will not give much meaning to you... as it is all about the setting you shoot the flash... as there is a big difference between shooting TTL in bright water, or manual in dark water. And that is why I also NEVER would go down on a second dive, without changing the batteries... not that they won't last... with Eneloop 2300 mHa batteries, it should easily be 2 dives... but since I have several sets of batteries, I just NEVER do that!. OK? :-) - but I´d imagine you have 4-600 shots, depending on the intensity.
@aradopsis2164
@aradopsis2164 Жыл бұрын
yeah, From my last dive, I noticed that fully charged eneloop batteries can only be used at 3 dives at most using this strobe. I have an upcoming two-day dive (6 dives) in a remote island in the Philippines where there is no electricity. I was thinking if I should buy another set of rechargeable batteries or just a set of good-quality, single-use ones (as it will cost me less). thanks for the very insightful response!

Would you recommend any 180 degree dome diffuser thats compatible with Z330? Thanks
@FOTOGRAFITnordic
@FOTOGRAFITnordic 2 жыл бұрын
Hey there. Sorry, I never saw a 180" dome filter ;-) Hmmm... would I recommend it? Sure... if the kind of photography you need to do, requires it. I assume such a filter would make the light quite soft and that can be good on some macro shots. . but remember... as with ALL diffusor filters, the trick is to use them only when needed, and TAKE THEM OFF when you need a more bright light, that will give you motive more colour and harder contrast. OK? - so in short... there is no yes/no answer to this question... but go ahead and get it and try it out for fun... and remember not to leave it there forever.

Hi did you shoot these videos with +15 macromate or +10 close up? I've also seen on another video that you can add up +15 and +10, and get +25. Would you advice using +25? and buying the extra +10 close up lens? Or macromate +15 would be enough?
@FOTOGRAFITnordic
@FOTOGRAFITnordic 2 жыл бұрын
Hey. It is shot using the MM-15+... I would not combine the two... I doubt the quality would be good. - but I certainly recommend, having both lenses and using them on the same dive. At least if you do a dedicated macro dive. The Gopro has a fixed focus and can not focus close... I think it works down to 16-18cm... or something like that (out of my memory). But with the +10 we are a 1/3 longer in - and with the Macromate we are down to 5-7cm... so they supplement each other very nicely. It is great 🙂

@@FOTOGRAFITnordic thanks for your test. I needed it :) i hesitate to buy the both +10 and +15 or just one... Seems you recommand to have twice ? If I buy the +15, the adaptator is in the package. But if I buy the +10, I have to add an adaptator for it. The question is if I buy the +10 and +15, do I need an second adaptator ? Of it it possible to switch from +10 to +15 during the dive with just on adaptator ? Thaaank youuuuu :) (I already have the FLIP11 on my gopro 11 with filters)

Hey Rob We can absolutely give you a full package with all the parts needed... In fact... that is what we do for a living and we are pretty good at it! ;-D Drop us a Direct Mail, and we´ll get back to you: [email protected] - as for your question if I would recommend it...? Well... that is both a financial and a political question: Which housing is the best... Nauticam or Ikelite? On almost all fronts, the Nauticam housing is the best... except on three points: The PRICE, post SERVICE and the WEIGHT. Nauticam is a pearl among pearls... it is compact and by far the best underwater housing on the market without a doubt and it will not let you down. But the more interesting question is. Is Ikelite a good housing for you, for the money, for the job you need to do..!? Since I do not know what you´ll need to use it for, I can´t answer the latter... but I can tell you, that the Ikelite-system is also a GREAT system... for an acrylic housing it offers a lot... it works well, it has all accessory features needed, is has a large port program, they offer immaculate service should it be needed (almost never is) - and as you mention, the price is a lot lower. So with that knowledge, you need to look into your wallet and ask yourself, what are you willing to spend on a housing. They are both great and will do the trick... and we´ll help to set up a package that works. The rest is up to you! ;-)

@FOTOGRAFITnordic
@FOTOGRAFITnordic 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Stan. We absolutely use it for images... I have personally done that for almost 10 years now... coming from only using viewfinders. Using a monitor is of course a lot more expensive, but with the new Shinobi from Nauticam, you can get a high quality monitor system for 2K Euro... and to me that is totally worth the money. You get SUCH better view and ability to compose your image, and a lot better overview of the scenery. It simply increases your ability to work! (and no... there is no time lack from the transfer of the images to the monitor... it is real time)
