Been listening to Jorma for more than 50 years . Specially the early live album with Cassidy ." Hesitation blues" is one of my favorite ones to play on the guitar and let me tell you I sweated a lot before being able to play it correctly note for note. But if you want to play blues guitar , this is the paragon you have to aim at. Jorma is one of the finest acoustic blues player in the world!

His hands were too big for basic playing, chords and tuning. At least he was able to make some awesome adjustments.

These are the sorts of instructional videos young drummers should be watching and absorbing how to play music rather than just ones on rudiments and techniques along and you won't find any more musical than Levon Helm another one is Jim mc carty of the yardbirds probably one of the earliest instruction videos to come out on vhs 📼

Amazing what this man can produce I havehave never had the pleasure of seeing him live But it is top of my list and I am working on it but I have seen The New lost CityRamblers around 1966 at the Royal Albert Hall When we got to find our seats my wife and myself and about 60 others found All the seat were filled and chairs were swiftly put on stage and we were ushered Aboard and sat within touching distance of one the worlds greatest bands one of the tunes They played was great fun it was The flop eared Mule going back to Paul He I’m sure he could make music out of a bundle of kindling wood Respect

When I was a teen someone gave me three of your fingerpicking tapes featuring mostly folk and country melodies. This piqued my interest in fingerstyle which developed to my later teens when I began RCM classical guitar lessons. One of the most complicated instruments when you have some Bach sheet music in front of you. Thank you for fanning that flame in my childhood, though struggling with a classical performers piece sometimes that might elicit a frustrated glare. Hard to admit it but that was thirty years ago.
