I’ve been looking for this for a while as I edited it and my good pal Phil Richardson directed it. Happy Memories! 😃

Saw this commercial at the Ferrari museum in 2000. I taped it on vhs. I remembered the song since then but forgot where it was from. Found a videorecorder for sale and saw the tape today. Description of this clip solves one of the bigest misteries of my life, after 24 years, since I was 18, I know who created the song ❤

Karin acted like a TOTAL pro here! So quick thinking to take over the part on such minimal notice, that must have been just less than a second of thinking then she was spot on! Wondering why she didn't get the part in the concert version the first place? When she had sung it on demos etc. before? I'm just blown away by her professionalism and her voice and have watched this in awe over and over again!

I keep coming back to see this, such an awe-inspiring performance. Kudos Karin, you totally owned it. Karin has an amazing voice, beautiful tone, powerful and great control. I think this is the best version of Endgame I have heard. I guess they were all expecting Barbara to show up right up until the first line was missed - Tommy’s confusion is evident and this could have been very awkward, so it was very brave and quick thinking of Karin to take over, as it must have been quite daunting with this unexpected and unplanned vocal performance, particularly so as the song had already started and no one knew why Barbara didn’t come back on. To come in perfectly from Svetlana’s second line onwards takes amazing skill. I note that Björn, who was sitting in the row below, got out of his seat and walked up in front of Karin and personally applauded her, as the conductor bowed to her and Tommy raising his glass was a lovely gesture. Karin looks so modest, as if it was just another day - the show must go on, as you say!! Thank you so much for uploading this video, I enjoy it so much.
