One cannot distinguish from the sound of the violin.

Just found this today, and SUPER BEAUTIFUL! AND FUN!! What I really like is NOT holding the choir notes on Rex at the beginning, making them quicker, like quarter notes or half notes or single notes, this is a BRILLIANT change that makes the whole piece "less dark" and like that one Seinfeld episode it "leaves you wanting more", and the HOLD at the end? BELLISSIMO --excellent work

I congratulate the performers of this amazingly beautiful music . And Charpentiers sacred music is wonderful with its variety of soloists, chorus and instruments , constantly changing in an unpredictable and pleasing way. No wonder his music was so much loved by his contemporaries, and today

Gawd, I love this work! And bravo Eric. As Rachel sez, brilliant! It was also a treat to hear one of SG's instruments ... finally I see a *lot* of him on Facebrick and he strikes me as a verrry intelligent and fine organ builder.

This really is an exquisite performance. The soprano who sings the Laudate rivals any of the European sopranos who have recorded this. Bravo Mr. Milnes and company. So pleased that an American ensemble masterly performed this wonderful work so admirable... TRULY!

Best interpreter of Marais I've heard. As for this pop she should have tackled the Rutles aka the prefab four ; much more challenging.

Taking the double fugue fast is thrilling but the magic and depth of the music and words is diminished. This is, after all, a Requiem mass. I doubt Mozart would have taken expected it played with such vigor and energy.
