Jason, the problem is you probably created an online user account. Windows 11 doesn't like people using accounts that aren't online, as there is less chance of tracking you personally, and your usage, there is some good news here though, but also some bad news. the bad news is you cannot use this user account if it is an online registered account, but following these steps will help with creating an offline account that microsoft will not tell you how to do. the downside until you delete the main account is you will have a screen asking you which user is login in to the pc, but should have this sorted in a couple of days, when you have transfered all your saved files, and deleted the original account, and every other account apart from the new one created here, just follow the first few steps to help you delete unused accounts. you need to goto/Search "Settings". Search "Users" in the new window click "Add/Edit/Remove Users". then click "Add other user/Add account" "watch this sly bit of Microsoft habra cadabra!!" Click "I don't have this person's sign-in information" click "Add a user without a Microsoft account" opens a new window to create a new account, "warning do not put a password in!!" the down side is you will have to transfere all data that you want to keep into the new users account. the main folders that you will need to transfere into the new account are: C:\Users\"user name"\documents C:\Users\"user name"\pictures C:\Users\"user name"\videos C:\Users\"user name"\desktop C:\Users\"user name"\music C:\Users\"user name"\downloads (sorry forgotten this one) "I think these are the main folders you need to copy, just make sure before you delete the old user account, replace "user name" with your user name on your computer" as far as removing a password, as far as I am aware is impossible because it is an online account registered with Microsoft, and I think that is why you are having problems finding a solution. just make sure first several times of login in that you don't click to register the account online, as Microsoft will pester you for about a week, then they will reduce the number of frequency reminders, about not having an online account with them.
