the passenger rear view oval mirror is an add on. in 1970 you did NOT come up on the right side of this car in a MG. you'd be a beer can and get smushed. the driver of the Olds would not have seen you. We have a 1970 with factory toggle switched mirrors: you had to order them. Other Olds mirrors are round.

Beau car as most of these old Oldsmobiles were. My dad for a long time was all about Oldsmobile. He had 5 . My favorite one was a special order 88 in Chocolate Brown and light tan interior with all power including AM/FM Stereo with a Wonderbar which found channels when driving locally or out-of-state. It had a 455. Great car.

This Riley has such an elegant design. Riley was a great combination between interior luxury and nimble performance. Such a shame they had lost reputation from the design fault in the rear axle suspension causing a bolt shearing and resultant accidents. Far better than the crude Wolseley setup. I wish vehicles today were designed with such simplicity and comfort instead of the same computer generated model with minor tweaks on the outside and dark plastic inside.

the '70 totally lost that special look the the '69 had (why!!!???) - and became a sort of 'land barge' - too bad - same incredibly-bland gauge cluster and shapeless seats, though - also, miss the funky hidden headlights from the '69

Don't know but we have two 1970 big blocks, hardtop and convertible in NEW chrome, NEW paint and body, NEW uphostelry, dad's last restorations with body and paint people we've dealt with for fifty years. OUR cars are worth about 20 grand US each, and you'd probably have to wait for the right buyer. Tight cars, dad was a carb.engine, and drivetain guy all this life. This one is "worth" about 5,000. Maybe.

Beautiful Car. Wanted one but could not afford one or find one when I could. I did have a 1963 Buick Riviera back then but long before the 1970 came out. I wanted a Chocolate Brown 1970 Buick Riviera with a Black Top and Tan-Camel Colored Interior. Never did get it tho. Just a Dream. Did get a 1973 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Beautiful Car. Thank you.

I never cared for the powder blue color. They offered it in 1969 as well. The wide white wall tires have got to go. When I was young and getting my drivers license this was the car that I wanted. The Riviera, Toronado or Eldorado really had it all together. 😊

Mine had a 225 V-6 and a power steering unit from a 1967 Buick Skylark and a transfer case overdrive unit and could do 65+. Everything else was stock except for it's 11.5 wide Wrangler RT tires. 😁

One of my very favourite cars. It has a charm and understated elegance that few modern cars can match. This is probably the best example I’ve evert seen.

My dad owned one of these between 1962 and 1966 when it was unfortunately scrapped. A lovely car with upmarket interior. A quirk of these cars was the gear-stick down the right hand side of the driveing seat. Our car was a two-tone, cream roof with grey body. I can not remember the reg. number completely, it had 3 letters which I've forgot but the numbers were 711.

and chrome hand holds on the doors were for ladies in DRESSES (remember dresses?) to swing into the back. Most Olds have a nice beauty station drop down in the rear seating area.
