Even when you get the bolts out, the cam will only come out two lobes before it hits the stock size balancer and cannot be removed. Only works with an underdrive balancer.

Real question is can you do that and still run oem ecm???(im doing a build, 3rd gen iron block 6.0 with my 4th gen internals. I can either run the gen 3crank or the gen 4crank. Trying to run all gen 4 stuff because ecm is a 58x ecm from factory)

Most, and looks like the one used in video, are 1.5" long (EL) effective length. 1" is what I used, but with 6" wide wheels the TPMS cap still sticks out more then, well what I like even though never had an issue. They are hard to find and a bit higher cost, but they make a stubby one. Usually marketed to the agriculture community. The EL of those are 5/8", and puts the cap really close to the wheel.

I would drop down for sure, make sure you have a good transmission cooler. For a good street strip maybe in the 3500-4500 range. I drove on the street with a 3500 before it was a blast. What transmission do you have?

What do you mean by took way too much stripe? Staging deep into both lights? Or did you say something else
@KensKorner2 ай бұрын
I got to the stripe by .03 on him, should have touched the brake a little more and tightened it up some. Then chances are I would not have broken out as well.

Ken, have you ever considered getting into drag and drive? You’ve got a car already mostly setup for it, be a great way to still be involved in the sport without the weekly grind. Just something to think about.

Is the bottom end built? Or did you run valve reliefs in the pistons ? I tried running btr stage 4 with the prc 220s, stock bottom 6.0 and my valves would not clear they would just barely kiss the piston
@KensKorner3 ай бұрын
Stock bottom end, but there are valve reliefs in the piston. If you are running flat tops pistons I would think that would be close.

At my shop, on a 7000-ish RPM engine, we've seen over 20 rwhp between the mid rise and the taller intake manifolds like the 300-256 and the various Victor intakes. However, that mid-rise will get almost all of that back with a 1" super sucker spacer. I guess what the mid-rise is lacking is plenum volume. The lower the RPM, the less difference the taller intake makes.
