I’m crying celebrating these kids - they are going places in Life - they deserve a chance and working hard

Always and forever original southern girl here. I miss living in Louisiana and living in and growing up in other places down south, lived down the street from SU for years as a youth, AL, SC, MS, TN, TX, etc - fun is such natural for us and a fascinating daily activity- school, I played in the band, my sister was a majorette, my brothers very smart too and in sports, basketball, football and parades daily, food, events- weekends parades, etc - everybody respects and was in something good for the soul, church I live for too. We always celebrating everyone for any reason and study in school was a big deal - we enjoyed learning contrary to stereotypes and their are lots of smart people came out of and still accomplishing from learning institutions. when living anywhere else the southern way is home sickening. I miss our different ways we communicate in our southern accents (we have our own languages) fyi lol: I have to listen very carefully to catch what someone is saying and translate it in my brain depending on who I’m speaking with and where I am when I go back home south- I live for it and love it, so you know I still have my southern accent and not changing me. When I retire I’m definitely going back home. I don’t eat for three days lol when I know I’m going back home. There are so many haters on us southern people in other cities yet, they are migrating down south and bragging on how they do what we do - southern hospitality is not something made up it’s a natural part of our spirit we know nothing else but joy, living happily, enjoying life and bringing in high standards of love. Those of you on the east and west, north whatever coast you’re from get your life leave us along - perhaps listening to some country music or gospel music will soothes your souls. Stop the hate and then acting like you like us when you’re around us down south - you will never compare. We see you!
